While they were talking and before Dady could say a word, Mumy walked into the living room where they were gathered and joined them on the seating area. She glanced at the children, then looked at Alhaji with a warm smile, asking, "Our Dady, what are you all discussing so intensely without inviting me?"
Dady laughed and replied, "It's these children of yours; they are insisting on being taken out today for shopping and recreation."
Mumy remarked, "Well, you are the one who accustomed us to that. Whenever you are at home, you always take us out. Therefore, we must go out today as well, or else we will all throw a tantrum and cry for you. Isn't that right, my children?" She turned to ask the kids. As if on cue, they answered in unison, "Yes, Mum!"
The Ultimate Challenge
Dady laughed and said, "So, you are actually the one who spoils these children for me, right?"
Mumy replied, "Who, me? Not at all! You are the one who has spoiled all of us, including me!"
Dady then looked at the children and announced, "Alright, here is what we are going to do: everyone must go and bring their schoolbooks right now. You will recite and review your lessons for me one by one. Anyone who reads flawlessly will be part of the trip."
In an instant, they all rushed off excitedly to gather their books, leaving only Yusuf and Mumy behind. Dady looked at Mumy and Yusuf, asking with a smile, "Does this mean the two of you aren't coming with us?"
Mumy asked in amusement, "Oh, so does that include me too?"
