ABOUT THIS BOOK

Description

A Heavy Morning Awakening
She lay on her elegant bed, one that reflected luxury and careful decoration, the kind of room so perfectly arranged that you would hardly believe a living, breathing human actually stayed there. Expensive body oils and high-quality soaps of different kinds were neatly arranged around the room.
She turned slightly before slowly opening her sleepy eyes, which felt heavy and swollen. The dizziness she felt made her close them again immediately. A sharp headache throbbed inside her skull, and she was certain it was caused by the sleepless night she had endured.
Her whole body felt weak and sluggish. The pain in her head felt as if it might split into two. She placed her hand on it, trying to soothe the ache. Her eyes looked reddish and dull, like someone who had drunk too much, as she slowly tried to move her body and lift her heavy head.
Finally, she leaned her back against the headboard of the bed and released a long breath before forcing herself to stand and walk toward the bathroom inside her bedroom.
Searching for Strength
She turned on the shower and leaned both of her hands against the toiletry wall as the water poured down over her body and head. When she felt like her breath was failing, she slowly stepped away from the water.
Her eyes were still red; everything still felt exactly as heavy and confusing as before.
Slowly, she stepped out of the bathroom wrapped in a large towel. She moved carefully and calmly. Sitting in front of the mirror on a stool, she blow-dried her hair and tied it neatly behind her neck. Then she sprayed some expensive, fragrant perfumes onto it.
After that, she walked toward her wardrobe filled with countless clothes. She moved slowly, her beautiful face completely lacking its usual brightness.
She chose light clothes, knowing she had nowhere to go that day.
But her heart was heavy with the same question that had haunted her for years—a question she had never been able to answer:
Who is my father?
She knew her life was slowly approaching its final moments, as if the breath inside her chest was already preparing to leave her body. Because of that, she desperately wanted to know the truth before her time came—today or tomorrow.
She no longer wanted to carry only her mother’s name as both mother and father.
Even if she never met him, she wanted to at least know his name. She wanted the day to come when her name would no longer remain Esherh Kalthom Jeddy alone.
Deep inside her heart, she had always imagined the day she would finally meet her father’s family. Even before she knew whether she would ever see him, she had already given him a name in her heart:
Pa’apah.
She had begged and searched through every member of her mother’s family, asking them to at least tell her his name. But every time, the same thing met her—
Anger.
Nothing but anger.
They asked her why she insisted on bringing the pain of fatherlessness into her life when she already had everything in the world. They reminded her that she had been surrounded by love and comfort all her life.
Yet none of that answered the emptiness in her heart.
She sank back into the soft white duvet and stared up at the ceiling as if the answers she sought might somehow be written there.
The Arrival of a Powerful Stranger
A deep sigh escaped her lips the moment she heard the loud sound of cars entering the house compound—a sound so powerful it echoed through the entire neighborhood.
Outside in the compound, several enormous luxury vehicles were arriving one after another inside the estate.
Among them was a striking black car, more beautiful and more imposing than the rest. A soldier quickly rushed forward and opened the door of a luxurious Rolls-Royce model vehicle.
The other bodyguards, dressed in black and standing beside the large vehicles, tightened their formation.
Then he appeared.
The young man who owned this fleet of cars stepped out.
Immediately, the guards straightened themselves and raised the rifles they held in disciplined respect.
The young man walked forward calmly. He was wearing a white sports designer outfit from Nike, along with a cap and long trousers—clearly dressed for street warming exercise in the cool morning air.
And from where he was, he began walking straight toward the house before returning to his own residence.
