ABOUT THIS BOOK

Description

Quickly paying the commercial motorcyclist (Adaidaita) who dropped her off, a beautiful young girl stood staring at the massive mansion in front of her. "What a house," she muttered softly. She double-checked the house number and, confirming it was correct, walked up to the gate and knocked. The security guard came out and opened it.

In a gentle, pleasant voice, she said, "Good day, Baba."
He replied, "Welcome, my daughter."
She asked, "Baba, please, is the master of the house inside?"
He answered, "Yes, he is inside."
She said, "Alright, he is the one I am looking for, can I see him?"
He replied, "Yes, please come in," and cleared the way for her to enter.
She walked for quite a long distance through the courtyard, which was beautifully landscaped with flowers and plants everywhere—a truly captivating sight. She slowly walked into the living room and was awestruck by the sheer display of wealth. She couldn't help but marvel that such rich people existed in the world while the poor went to bed hungry.
Her attention was snapped back when she heard movement upstairs. Looking up, she saw a magnificent staircase and climbed it. She stood there observing the doors, eventually heading toward one where she could hear muffled sounds. She gently pushed the door open to her surprise, pulled the curtain aside, and peeped in.

She fixed her eyes on him. He was standing there holding a young girl in his arms, and the girl appeared lifeless, with her body and clothes covered in blood. The young man looked completely panicked, shaking the girl and frantically saying, "Hey! Hey! Hey! Who brought you here?!"
The young girl who had just entered remained standing there, immediately positioning her phone camera to secretly record the scene, crying and wiping her tears as she did. She then pulled out her phone and made a brief call to her boss, speaking in a hushed tone that even I couldn't catch, let alone share with you, dear readers.
Barely three to four minutes later, the police stormed into the room. She walked in with them, sobbing uncontrollably and pointing a shaking finger at him while shaking her head. Then, in a strained but melodious voice, she said...

She pointed and said, "There he is! There he is! He violated her! 😭" She burst into tears again.
One of the police officers said, "Relax now. I hope you recorded the video?" She simply nodded her head, as her heavy sobbing prevented her from speaking.
Meanwhile, the young man just stared at her, locking his piercing eyes onto her with an intense glare of suspicion. Hmmmm. He exhaled heavily. Only now did it dawn on him that he was being framed.
"OK," was all he said.
One of the police officers stepped forward and said, "You are under arrest."
Completely unfazed, the young man looked the officer up and down and said, "Well, because of what?"
"Because we caught you violating this young girl," the officer replied.
The young man stared intensely at the officer, then shifted his gaze back to the lifeless girl. Looking at her with utter disgust as if looking at filth, he said, "Is this the thing I would violate? This thing?" he sneered, pointing at her. Mtss. He let out a loud hiss at them.
The other police officer touched the girl and said in shock, "Boss, she is not breathing... she's dead!"
The senior officer gasped in shock, "This is a serious matter!"
Softening his tone to placate him, the senior officer said, "Uh, please, sir, calm down and cooperate with us."
In a stern, authoritative voice, the young man snapped, "What do you mean?!"
"Please, sir, calm down and let's go to the station, please." The other officers joined in begging and pleading with him.
With great reluctance, he finally agreed. "Wait for me in the living room, I am coming. Let me get dressed." At that moment, he was wearing nothing but a towel because he had just stepped out of the shower when this crisis unfolded. He shot a piercing glare at the young girl, and they all turned around and walked out.
He opened his massive wardrobe, which was packed with luxurious, high-end clothes. He pulled out a white, heavily embroidered Galilah Shadda of exquisite quality and put it on. He then placed a matching cap on his head, sprayed his expensive perfumes that were lined up on the mirror, and emerged looking absolutely dashing.
Joining them in the living room, the officers said, "Shall we go, sir?"
In his deeply resonant and pleasant voice, he replied, "I will drive in my own car."
The young girl mentioned that she would be leaving on her own, and the police thanked her, stating they would contact her later. As she attempted to walk past him, he glared fiercely at her and deliberately stuck his foot out to trip her. Fortunately, she managed to regain her balance and didn't fall.
Muttering under her breath, she whispered, "I will never forgive you, you wicked man! 😏" She pouted her lips and quickly hurried past. He walked out, and the police followed closely behind him as they headed straight to the Headquarters.

THE BACKSTORY
Alhaji Umar Abdullahi was an immensely wealthy and prominent businessman based in Sokoto. In fact, he was the newly elected Executive Governor of Sokoto State. He had only one wife, Hajiya Maryam. Theirs was a beautiful love marriage, having wedded when they were both young. Her father, Malam Siddi, was a highly respected Islamic scholar in Sokoto and a close friend of Alhaji Umar's parents. That was how Alhaji Umar first saw her, fell deeply in love with her, and she felt the same way, culminating in their marriage.
However, five years into their marriage, Allah had not yet blessed them with a child. Hajiya Maryam faced constant mockery and emotional torment from Alhaji Umar's two younger sisters. Hajiya Amina, the sister directly following Alhaji Umar, was married to Alhaji Sahabi and had two children—a daughter who was married and another still studying. Hajiya Umaima was the youngest of the siblings, and she had three daughters who were all married.
Alhaji Umar's sisters made life miserable for Hajiya Maryam due to her childlessness. She would often lock herself in her room and weep bitterly, yet she never lost her patience, knowing that everything happens according to Allah's perfect timing.
Then one day, out of nowhere, Hajiya Maryam fell terribly ill. A doctor was summoned to examine her, and upon running the initial tests, it was discovered that she was two months pregnant! The joy in the family was indescribable, especially for their parents, who were overjoyed. However, Hajiya Amina and her sister were deeply unsettled by the news.
Hajiya Maryam suffered from severe pregnancy sickness (morning sickness), which prompted Alhaji Umar’s mother to move into the house permanently to personally nurse and care for her until her delivery. When the time came, Allah granted her a safe and smooth delivery, and she gave birth to a bouncing baby boy. He was extremely fair-skinned and flawless, a true Fulani child.
The joy was beyond words, leaving Hajiya Amina and her sister completely speechless. Guests flooded the house for the celebration. On the naming day, the baby was named after his paternal grandfather, Muhammad Farid, but he was affectionately given the pet name (UNAIS).
