ABOUT THIS BOOK
Description
No matter how hard I tried to sleep, I simply could not. I was too overwhelmed with happiness. Even before the Fajr prayer time entered, I went into the bathroom, took my bath, and performed ablution.
As I stepped into the sitting room, I looked around at how beautifully the room had been decorated for me, and I suddenly burst into laughter again. Loudly, I said,
“Wayyo Daddy nah, what can I ever do in this life to show you how happy you have made me?”
I said while adjusting my towel tightly around myself.
I spread my prayer mat and prayed the two raka’ah Sunnah of Fajr, then continued reciting istighfar and glorifying Allah until my phone alerted me that it was finally time for the Fajr prayer. Before sleeping, Daddy had collected my phone and set the alarm for me.
I stood up and prayed Fajr, then remained seated reciting my morning adhkar with a smile on my face. After finishing, I picked up my Qur’an and began revising my recitation until daylight slowly began to appear before I finally stood up and walked toward the mirror.
I wore a long red gown that brought out both my beauty and youthful appearance perfectly. After all, I was not even up to sixteen years old yet, just about five months away from turning sixteen.
At that exact moment, I heard Daddy’s voice calling me while he knocked on the door.
Quickly, I rushed to open it, smiling brightly as I slightly bent toward him and said,
“Good morning my Dad.”
Daddy widened his eyes in surprise as he looked at me. Slowly, he placed his hand on his cheek and said,
“Sweetheart, you are ready already?”
I laughed and replied,
“Daddy, I have been ready for almost two hours.”
Then I stepped out of the room, held Daddy’s hand, and together we walked toward the sitting room.
Resting my head lightly against him, I said,
“Daddy, do you even know how happy I am? Daddy, I will continue praying for you forever. May Allah grant you everything you desire in this world and the next.”
I said while staring at Daddy’s smiling face.
As we sat at the dining table, he looked at me while holding my hand and said,
“Sweetheart, there are only two things I want from you. First, focus on the reason you came here, alright? Secondly, protect your dignity and character for the sake of Allah, understand Hummairah nah?”
Immediately her whole body softened and she stared at her father silently as though she would not respond. After a while, she finally said,
“Insha Allah Daddy, you will never find me doing anything bad, especially because…”
Suddenly she lowered her head as tears began falling from her eyes.
Daddy closed his eyes too as though he was also fighting back tears while shaking his head gently.
After a moment, he looked at her and said,
“Whatever you do, sweetheart, do it for Allah’s sake, not because you are afraid of what people will say. That is what will truly guide your life whether people are watching or not. Always remind yourself that Allah is watching you, understand?”
After we finished drinking tea, Daddy led me outside until we reached the roadside.
Since the moment we stepped out, I had been admiring the neighborhood around us. The place completely captured my attention.
As though Daddy understood exactly what I was thinking, he tightened his grip on my hand and said,
“Bocabella Passage. That is the name of your street, sweetheart. Do you like it?”
The smile already on my face widened even more. I held Daddy’s hand tightly, almost jumping with excitement, and said,
“Daddy, thank you. I really love this place, and Insha Allah I promise you I will return with a first class result. I will never make you ashamed of me.”
I said while quickening my steps to match Daddy’s pace.
