ABOUT THIS BOOK
Description
She drove calmly while Rick Ross's Bag of Money played loudly inside the car.
She parked directly in front of the office building and stepped out carrying her Calvin Klein handbag.
She wore a long red gown with pink details. Instead of placing her scarf behind her shoulders, she wrapped it stylishly around the front like a turban. Tom Ford glasses rested elegantly on her face, while expensive Vincci heels clicked confidently beneath her feet.
Her walk carried the confidence of a woman who knew her worth and commanded respect wherever she went.
She was about twenty-four years old.
She entered her office at FAWU Investment Ltd. The moment her secretary saw her, she quickly stood up and greeted respectfully,
"Welcome ma'am."
Without replying, she walked straight into her office and placed down her handbag alongside her two phones, a Galaxy S5 and an iPhone 6.
This was Salma Muhammad Fawu.
A few moments later, her secretary entered carrying several files.
"Your appointments ma'am."
Salma collected them and began checking through the documents one after another.
Just then, a man entered the office immediately after the secretary stepped out.
He looked at Salma with obvious admiration before saying,
"I came regarding the contract you discussed with our company."
The cold look Salma gave him instantly shattered every romantic thought in his mind.
Then she said calmly,
"Let me get the files."
He handed them over while secretly staring at her beauty without restraint. Truthfully, the only reason he personally handled the contract was simply to create opportunities to look at her beautiful face.
After reviewing the papers, she lifted her eyes toward him with a serious expression.
"I am done with you. If your company agrees, collect the fifty percent offer. If not, leave it."
He collected the file and nervously asked,
"Can we have dinner sometime?"
Salma slowly removed her glasses before replying coldly,
"I am strictly about business. Besides that, I hate men. So get out of my office and never come back."
He froze in shock.
He had heard rumors everywhere about Salma's hatred for men, but he never truly believed them until now.
Why did she hate men so much?
What exactly had happened to her?
All the wealth she possessed came from her late father. Even though her mother was still alive, nobody had ever seen Salma involved with any man outside business dealings.
As for relationships or romance, nobody had ever heard such stories about her.
She constantly repeated the same sentence:
"I hate men."
After finishing all her work carefully, she picked up her bag, handed some keys to her secretary, and left the office.
She drove straight home.
As she arrived, the security guard quickly opened the giant gate for her.
She parked in her reserved space and entered the house gracefully.
Immediately she removed the scarf from her head and relaxed briefly on the sofa before switching on the air conditioner and plugging her phone into a charger.
Then she heard someone call softly,
"Umminah."
She quickly stood up and embraced the woman warmly.
The woman looked about forty-five years old, fair and beautiful.
"Welcome back my baby," the woman said affectionately.
Salma smiled softly.
"Welcome Mom. I missed you."
They sat together chatting happily until one of the housemaids brought food for Salma.
She ate while continuing their conversation.
Afterward, she stood up, prayed, took her bath, and finally lay down to rest.
She did not wake up again until Asr prayer time.
After praying Asr, she picked up a novel titled Namiji Ko Miji by Benazir Omar and continued reading it with excitement, enjoying all the drama and conflicts inside the story.
She remained there until Maghrib, prayed Maghrib and Isha, then prepared coffee and returned to sit with her mother again.
They continued talking until around ten o'clock before she finally retired to her room for sleep.
That was Salma's everyday life.
If she was not at the office, then she was at home.
She lived completely alone within herself.
She had no close friends and no real struggles in life because her late father had left enormous wealth behind for her together with their successful company.
After completing her education, she simply continued managing the company her father started.
Her life was very simple.
She disliked noise and unnecessary social activity.
In fact, she was naturally a quiet woman.
Talking too much exhausted her.
If you ever found her speaking continuously for more than ten minutes, then it was probably with her mother.
A conversation that required twenty sentences from others would receive only one short answer from Salma.
She was not proud or arrogant.
It was simply her quiet nature that made people mistake her silence for pride.
That was Salma Muhammad Fawu.
But no matter how perfect someone's life may appear, everyone carries problems one way or another.
And because of that, I, Benazir Omar, picked up my pen to tell you the story and history of Amal.
So come with me.
