ABOUT THIS BOOK

Description

A Playful Morning Run
She was running slowly, moving her body in a graceful and captivating way. The man running behind her was also moving calmly, his eyes fixed on the beautiful figure that Allah had created her with. Even though they were racing, he could not bring himself to overtake her because of the joy he felt in his heart whenever he looked at her.
He glanced again at her from behind. She was wearing small workout clothes—a blue-black top and trousers. The top stopped just above her navel, while the trousers reached her thighs, yet the clothes fitted her perfectly. He himself was wearing a sleeveless shirt and boxer shorts, both in a milky white color.
She slowed down again, breathing lightly in an attractive and elegant way. He laughed and increased his speed, finally overtaking her. When she saw this, she frowned and followed behind him. She found him lying on the green grass spread across the ground like a carpet, stretching out while breathing in the fresh air. She stood above him with her lips pushed forward as if she was angry. He wrapped both arms around her and said,
“What's wrong with my baby?”
“Why did you overtake me today?” she asked in her soft, gentle voice.
“I told you—you’ve gained a lot of weight since you gave birth to Ajmal. Now you can hardly run properly.”
She hit his chest and stamped her foot as if she was about to cry. He held her hands so she could not hit him again. Instead, he began gently kissing her hands with his very soft lips.
“You know I love you. I don’t care about your weight. I will keep loving you even if you become ten times heavier.”
She smiled, rested her head on his chest, and hugged him tightly.
“Thank you, darling. Thank you for making my heart smile and my eyes shine.”
“I love you,” he said while kissing her forehead.
She responded by kissing his neck.
Love and Comfort in the Garden
“The prayer time is almost here,” she said. “And I left the baby alone in the bedroom sleeping. Maybe he has even woken up by now.”
“You just want to outsmart me,” he replied with a smile. “Alright, let's go.”
He tried to stand up while holding her, but she clung to his shoulder, showing that she did not want to walk. He understood what she meant, so lovingly he bent down and let her climb onto his back. Carrying her, he walked toward the house after closing the garden.
She rested her head and closed her eyes. If there was anything in the world that truly made her happy, it was lying against his body or resting on his back like this. Slowly he carried her into their bedroom. He gently placed her on the bed while his eyes moved toward the small bed of their two-month-old son, Ajmal, who was sleeping peacefully. He walked closer, bent down, and kissed the baby on the cheek before lifting his head with a smile and looking at her.
“Before, you said Ajmal looks like you. What about now?”
“He still looks like me,” she said while sitting up.
“Come and see. I swear now that he’s sleeping, he looks exactly like me. These days his face is completely like mine. Even yesterday Hajiya said the same thing.”
She stood up, walked behind him, and hugged him while leaning her head to peek at the baby since he was much taller than her.
“Is it really like that? I’m only agreeing because you said Hajiya said so.”
“Look at his eyes and look at mine,” he said, turning her toward him.
“I know his eyes are like yours.”
“What about his nose?”
“That’s like yours too.”
“And his mouth?”
“That one is like mine.”
He laughed and lifted her into the air.
“You’re just saying that because you want to win, madam. Should we go take a bath now? I can already hear the call to prayer.”
Preparing for Prayer and Dinner
She laughed too, kicking her legs playfully as he tickled her by burying his head against her. Full of love and affection, they bathed together and came out just as Ajmal woke up. She picked him up, wrapped in a towel, and sat on the edge of the bed to breastfeed him while watching her husband.
He stood in front of the mirror wiping his body with a small white towel. He sprayed his body with about five different body sprays, because he loved pleasant fragrances. After that, he went to the closet and opened it. Turning back to look at her while holding his waist, she understood what he wanted—he wanted her to choose his clothes, something she was used to doing for him.
Tilting her head, she looked at him.
“Oh daddy, please forgive me. Dress yourself today… Ajmal is hungry.”
He turned and looked at the many clothes neatly arranged in the closet. More than two minutes passed, yet he still could not decide what to wear.
“Take the blue trousers and the maroon T-shirt,” she said from where she was sitting.
He did exactly as she said, then came back to stand in front of her dressed.
“I’m going for prayer,” he said. “Get ready before I return—we’re going out for dinner.”
