The Village of Darkness
 
In the heart of a remote forest lies Garin Kuguru, a village shrouded in dark tradition. The people worship a large idol that demands five human sacrifices every year. Victims, often unsuspecting travelers who wander into the forest, are captured, killed, and offered to the idol. Their flesh is feasted upon during an annual ritual involving wild dancing, blood wine, and primitive celebrations. The villagers wear minimal clothing—just enough leaves or skins for modesty. Young girls are married off at the year’s end, and any child born with albinism is cooked and served to the king as a sign of purity and submission.
 
Tenkwai's Doubt
 
Among the villagers is Tenkwai, a young woman uneasy with these brutal customs. While others, like her friend Aduke, talk eagerly about village festivals and relationships, Tenkwai questions the morality of sacrificing human lives, even strangers. She confesses that she can't bring herself to love Ja’e, the prince, who like his father, the tyrannical king, embodies cruelty. Her heart seeks meaning beyond rituals soaked in blood. She secretly hopes that change—perhaps through an outsider or divine intervention—will reach their cursed village.
 
A Mysterious Encounter
 
While fetching water, Tenkwai and her friends stumble upon something strange in the river. Tenkwai, brave yet compassionate, ventures into the water and discovers an unconscious stranger—clearly not from the village. He is injured and bleeding. Despite the danger, she pulls him out and hides him in the forest, seeking help from Lamunde. They call on a healer who confirms that the stranger was bitten by a deadly snake but is still alive. Lamunde stays by Tenkwai’s side as they work together to protect the stranger from the villagers who would surely sacrifice him.

Meer, a young man with a conscience and a phone camera, confronts him with the footage. But Waziri turns the tables, revealing the murder was staged and part of a larger scheme to seize power. He admits to manipulating events, even tampering with women's fertility to block the rightful heir to the throne. Meer’s resistance is brave but risky. He is drugged, loses his memory, and becomes a target in the broader plan to silence those seeking justice.
