ABOUT THIS BOOK
Description
The Loyalty of Hibru and the King’s Secret
Hibru was a great and devoted lover of King Maharaz, always ready to sacrifice his life to protect the king and his honor. However, it was surprising that despite all the loyalty Hibru showed, the king refused to draw him close. Sharifa, the wife of King Maharaz, repeatedly argued with him about why he would not bring Hibru closer, but he never revealed the reason to her. They often quarreled over the matter, and their disagreements sometimes became intense. There was even a day when Sharifa provoked the king so much that he slapped her without realizing it.
In deep shock, Sharifa held her cheek and looked at him as tears filled her eyes. She said, “My husband, since the day you married me, you have never spoken a harsh word to me, let alone insulted me. But today you have struck me. Surely the reason you did this is the same reason you do not want anyone to know the secret between you and the warrior Hibru. I promise you, no matter how long it takes, I will uncover this secret.”
Hearing this, King Maharaz became troubled. He knelt before Sharifa like a little child and said, “My wife, forgive me for raising my hand against you. I was not in my right senses when it happened. Since we have been together, have I ever asked you for a favor?”
Sharifa replied softly, “Indeed, you have not.”
The king knelt on both knees before her, holding her hands as tears filled his eyes. “I beg you, for the sake of your parents, for the love between us, and for the sake of our daughter, do not investigate this secret. The Almighty Darbuza has forbidden me from revealing it.”
When King Maharaz reached this point, Sharifa became even more astonished. From that day on, she never again mentioned Hibru to the king.
The king himself had married only once in his life. His wife had died seven years earlier, leaving him with one handsome twelve-year-old son named Imnal. Imnal inherited his father’s bravery and sacrifice. It was believed that when he grew older, he would surpass his father in courage, for at just seven years old he could already challenge grown men in combat. Whenever they went to war, he accompanied them and played a role so significant that even the great warrior Hibru would sometimes step aside and let Imnal represent him before the soldiers.
The Rise of King Dujalu Ibn Shardud
Indeed, the world is vast and full of wonders. On another continent, there lived a mighty king named Dujalu Ibn Shardud, ruler of the city of Hawaruldin.
King Dujalu was a famous warrior, fearless among the fearless. He could attack an entire town, kill its men, enslave its women, and seize its wealth as spoils. Through such conquests, he gained control over many cities and amassed enormous riches. In addition, he was a powerful sorcerer unmatched on his continent.
When King Dujalu realized his greatness, he secluded himself in spiritual retreat to determine his standing among the kings of the world. After forty days, he completed his inquiry and was shaken by what he discovered. The only king equal to him in every respect was King Maharaz.
Filled with jealousy and anger, Dujalu resolved that he must find a way to destroy Maharaz’s kingdom, eliminate him from the face of the earth, and inherit both his wealth and his empire so that none would rival him in the world. For this reason, he entered another retreat for seventy days seeking a solution.
The solution revealed to him was that he must possess certain ancient legendary weapons known as the Mazanjiya weapons—artifacts from a bygone era, unmatched in battle and imbued with extraordinary magical power.
The first was a magical sword called Saiful Lujara, once owned by the brave Hantaru of the city of Kisra. The second was a spear named Galilil Haras, belonging to the warrior Shaddadu of Kufa. The third was a mystical helmet called Lamsara, owned by the warrior Hulkas of the city of Romania.
The Legend of the Sword Saiful Lujara
As for the sword Saiful Lujara, anything struck by it would split into two—even stone or iron. If it merely touched a believer’s body, the person would die because of the deadly poison infused within it.
The sword now lies beneath the depths of the Sea of Bahar Dufiya, guarded by ninety thousand jinn warriors. After the death of the brave Hantaru, these jinn took the sword from his home and brought it to the sea, where they have guarded it ever since. They will not abandon this duty until the end of their existence, for they worship nothing but this sword.
When the sorcerer first forged it, only three people were destined to wield it. One has already used it and passed away, and the identities of the remaining two are unknown. Whoever possesses this sword can never be defeated in battle—even if they were to live a million years.
As for the ninety thousand jinn, each of their souls was bound within the metal substance from which the sword was forged. That is why they have devoted their very existence to it, and no one can separate them from it except one of the three chosen individuals destined to wield the blade.
