ABOUT THIS BOOK
Description
Ummah is an intensely jealous, proud, and powerful woman. Coming from a royal lineage, she exercises immense influence in the palace of King Abdallah, who dotes on her greatly, allowing her to run her affairs in the palace as she pleases. Everyone fears her—from the palace courtiers (fadawa), male servants, and slave girls, to everyone eating from the palace and even her co-wives.
She has only one child, Prince Anwar, who was heavily pampered and spoiled with excessive affection. He completed his education, from secondary school up to the tertiary level, abroad—a stay that led to a severe moral decay in his character. Ever since he finished his studies, he refused to return home to settle in a place where there would be checks and glares on his behavior.
It wasn't until news of his lifestyle reached the ears of the King that a strict summons was sent, and he was brought back home.
The King scolded him severely and issued a stern warning, declaring that if he did not put an end to his ways, he would arrange a forced marriage for him within the family, searching out and wedding him to whoever he chose, regardless of his opinion.
Anwar's activities abroad revolved entirely around chasing wayward women. The white women there had completely corrupted him, alongside bad friends whom he associated with. They had no other occupation than frequenting clubs, getting intoxicated with women, drinking alcohol, and partying.
However, he was particularly hooked on a white woman who was obsessed with him, named Rihanna. She endured all of his mistreatment, and the only reason he kept stringing her along was that she knew how to care for a man, being exceptionally skilled in every trick of deception and mastery of romance.
That was how she stood out among the rest. Moreover, she was fiercely possessive; she used to beat up other women who came after him. Yet, despite that, he would still sneak away to be with whichever woman he wanted—though she feared him enough not to stop him entirely.
Anwar was arrogant and condescending, often feeling as though he were a king himself. In his heart, he constantly felt that no matter what he did, no one dared to stand in his way, especially since he was the Crown Prince.
His mother continuously fueled his sense of pride, constantly reminding him that he was the king of tomorrow—even though he didn't really care much about becoming king, knowing that once he assumed the throne, he would be forced to stay in one place and give up everything he loved doing.
