ABOUT THIS BOOK

Description

The Oath of Princess Sima

For ten years, the royal advisor Kaddaru remained as youthful and strong as ever, despite his aging body and bald head. Remarkably, he had never fallen ill, not even with a headache.

One early morning, Princess Sima sent for him. Without waiting for formal permission, Kaddaru walked into her private chambers, only to find her soaking in a bathtub filled with foamy water while maids attended to her. Mortified, he bowed his head and exclaimed,

"Forgive me, Your Highness. I didn't know you were in such a state. I meant no disrespect."

Princess Sima smiled and said, "I summoned you so your eyes could behold the beauty of my body. Raise your head and observe me from top to bottom. Afterwards, I shall ask you a question. If you refuse, I swear upon my father's grave that I will end my life and place the blame upon you."

From behind curtains, eleven maids emerged, sealing all exits except for one. Shaken, Kaddaru lifted his gaze. Princess Sima stood gracefully in the tub as a maid wiped her body with a white cloth, revealing flawless skin and a sculpted form. Her black hair shone down to her waist. Her figure was perfect, her face like a painting of divine proportions.

Kaddaru, stunned by her beauty, said,

"I swear by our sacred beliefs, I've never seen such perfection. Had I known, I would've searched the world for a suitor worthy of you."

Giggling, Sima replied,

"Now you speak my language. Power, beauty, and wealth I have in abundance, but I lack a worthy partner. I swore upon my ancestral magic that I would only marry a man more powerful and beautiful than I am.

"Through my enchanted mirror, I learned of a book called Kundin Tsatsuba, a legendary tome containing a thousand wonders. Whoever possesses it gains power unmatched across time. But I cannot locate it.

"Now, I seek your counsel."

Kaddaru, deeply concerned, remained silent until a maid wrapped Sima in a royal blue robe. She stepped closer to touch his shoulder, but he stepped back, replying,

"Your Highness, even your father's hand never touched your body. He decreed that any man who dared to do so would be executed. That law remains in force."

Sima nodded. "Understood. Now listen to my command: escort me to the most powerful sorcerer in the land. He will help us find the Kundin Tsatsuba and guide me to it."

Kaddaru responded, "Only Sulbaini Ibn Barzuk, deep in the Falwas wilderness, can do this. But he is in seclusion, performing a 41-day ritual. I fear disturbing him."

Furious, Sima declared, "He is my subject. We shall go tonight. Make your farewells and return by dusk."

Kaddaru bowed and exited with a heavy heart, knowing he had been tasked with something beyond mortal reach.

The Forbidden Awakening

Far away, in the city of Sin, Ruziyal awoke with a start. A thunderous sound, like lightning, had struck. He rushed to the window, saw flashes of light but no storm.

Fear gripped him. Could it be the spirit had returned? The flashes came from the ancient well that held the Kundin Tsatsuba.

Ruziyal ran to the well and found its heavy cover removed. As he peered in, something shot out and struck him. He fell backwards, stunned. Raising his head, he saw his son Jafar hovering atop a birdlike spirit, clutching the Kundin Tsatsuba.

"Father," Jafar grinned, "I told you I'd retrieve it. Now I have."

Ruziyal pleaded, "Please, son, return it. You don't know the doom you're unleashing."

Jafar laughed. "I am chaos personified. I seek danger, not peace. If fate allows, we shall meet again. If not, this is farewell."

With that, the spirit ascended into the sky.

Ruziyal stared after them, heartbroken. "Though you are my only son, better none than you."

The Hidden Sanctuary

After an hour-long flight, Jafar and the spirit landed at a hidden forest cave. Yelisa emerged, her face glowing as she saw the book.

"Well done, Gulzum," she said to the spirit.

She took the Kundin Tsatsuba, studied it, then led them inside. They entered a luminous chamber adorned with crystals and magical relics.

Though the cave had appeared untouched for over forty years, it opened to them like curtains parting for honored guests. At its heart stood a great table, where Yelisa gently placed the sacred book, ready to unlock its secrets.
