Saudat was a beautiful and innocent village girl who dreamed of a bright future. She lived in Wurobokki, a small Fulani village, with her loving parents. Like most young girls in her village, she spent her days helping her mother, selling fresh milk, and playing with her best friend, Furera. Her dream was simple: to grow up, get married, and live happily ever after.
The Prince’s Proposal
One day, her life changed forever. Yarima, the prince of Wurobokki and the son of the village chief, noticed Saudat’s beauty and decided he wanted to marry her. This was the biggest honor for any girl in the village. The entire community celebrated the news, and preparations for their wedding began immediately.
However, unknown to Saudat, this was not a love story. Yarima was a proud and arrogant young man who saw women as objects. Many village girls had secretly admired him, including Furera, but he had eyes only for Saudat.
The Wedding and a Dark Secret
