ABOUT THIS BOOK

Description

In a shaky voice and trying to de-escalate the tension, he said, "As for you, Yusrah, I fail to understand what goes on inside your brain. Your thinking is always warped. I only came here because..." He didn't get the chance to finish his sentence; he trailed off into silence, his nostrils flaring as he listened in utter astonishment.
"What kind of clueless woman are you to leave your husband early this morning to go stalking girls? Today is Monday; doesn't he have any work to do? Or does he have nowhere else to go but to stalk girls? Well, I want you to call your husband on the phone right now and ask him what he is doing in my office this early morning!!!"
She let out a soft, nonchalant smile, showing total indifference and disbelief toward the words being barked at her through the phone.
"Listen, young lady! Whoever came to your place, I don't know, but he will certainly never be my husband, do you hear me?"
"Oh really? 🤨 You might actually be right. But as for the man standing right in front of me at this very moment, he is wearing..." (She began to precisely describe Major Adeel, matching his exact appearance and the clothes he was wearing).
Instantly, her entire body began to tremble, and her stomach clenched violently. She quickly grabbed onto a chair as she felt her six-month-old twins kicking aggressively, as if they were about to leap out right then and there.
With her lips quivering, she stammered, "Wha... what?"
"Yes... and if my description matches your husband, you can come and see for yourself. I am in my office, Number A9, Yusrah & Co. Group of Companies..." (She began describing her office and their company address).
Despite the sweat pouring down her forehead, her restricted breathing, and her blurred vision from sudden dizziness, she still managed to snatch her car keys. Just as she was, in her indoor slippers, she dashed to the courtyard and lunged into her Venza. She keyed the ignition, even as she felt a warm gush of fluid trickling down her legs... yet, in a state of utter panic, she sped off. The gate officer swung the gate wide open, and she tore past them onto the street without looking back.
Yusrah turned around contemptuously, giving him a disdainful, arrogant, and ill-mannered look.
"Meanwhile... you still have the chance to walk out of my office and run for your dear marriage."
Somehow, her sheer madness and threats only made him laugh.
"Oh, so you think a tiny thing like you can manipulate me? You're standing there faking a call? I know you would never dare call my wife."
She tilted her head, continuing to swivel in her office chair while typing away on the laptop in front of her.
"Okay, you'll see. 😎"
"Hajiya Yusrah, I came to see Hajiya Juwairiyya Sadiq so we could conduct an important meeting regarding our business. But due to her health condition, she mentioned that I should see you, her daughter. However, if this is going to be a problem, let me just leave and speak with her directly."
"Mr. Man, get out of my office! I have things to do."
He nodded. "I'm leaving."
One step, two steps, and on the third, his phone began to ring.
"Hello, Boss! Sir, there's trouble! Madam rushed out of the house at full speed and we didn't know where she was heading. Because of that, we followed her for her own protection. But unfortunately, our vigilance wasn't enough... right now, she has been involved in a fatal accident! 😭😭😭😭 The car is smoking and it's starting to catch fire! Oh my God, we are ruined..."
Overwhelmed, the soldier abruptly hung up the phone, bursting into tears.
