Mimi's Outfit and Her Mother's Disapproval
Mimi stepped down from the staircase gracefully, the sharp sound of her high heels echoing with each step. She chewed her gum loudly—her signature habit. As she reached the living room, she sat down on one of the luxurious couches and pulled out her iPhone 11, immersed in her phone, scrolling and tapping non-stop for over 30 minutes.
After a while, she checked the time on her wristwatch, stood up abruptly, grabbed her small designer bag, and made her way to the exit.
Just then, her mother descended from the staircase, dressed in a stunning and classy outfit, leaving a trail of sweet perfume behind her. She quickly called out:
> “Mimi! Wait! Are you seriously going out like this? Look at your outfit—who would think you're a Muslim girl dressed like this? And where are you even going this early on a Saturday? No lectures today!”
Mimi, clearly irritated by the lecture, pouted and replied in a whiny tone:
> “Come on, Mom... There’s nothing wrong with what I’m wearing! Everyone in this house keeps picking on me. No one loves me!”
Her mom, unimpressed, insisted she go change immediately or she would call her father. Mimi, now crying, ran back upstairs.
I watched her storm off and took a second glance at her outfit. Honestly, her mother had a point. Despite her undeniable beauty and figure, her clothing was completely revealing. Her outfit clung to her body, showing everything, even her undergarments through the thin material. Her headscarf was barely functional, and her long, dyed hair flowed freely down her back.
She entered a spacious upstairs living room, ran into her room, and threw herself onto the bed, still crying. A few moments later, her phone rang. She immediately paused, wiped her tears, and answered the call. From her reaction, it was clear the caller was important.
Batol and Lil Sis: Love, Tears, and Yazid
In another scene, Batol sat quietly, her face stained with tears, clearly burdened by something heavy. Her younger sister, lovingly called “Lil Sis,” returned home and immediately noticed the sorrow.
> “You're still crying, Adda Batol?” she asked, eyes welling up.
Batol forced a smile, trying to hide the pain, but the tears kept coming.
Lil Sis held her hand and said,
> “I know Hamma Yazid means everything to you. You love him more than you love me. But I’m all you have. If you lose yourself over him, what will happen to me?”
Batol tried to smile again and hugged her.
> “I’ll stop crying. But Yazid is my world, and now he belongs to someone else. I know he’s far from my reach.”
Lil Sis, still concerned, offered a bold idea:
> “Let’s just tell him you love him, and maybe they’ll cancel his engagement with Adda Nadiya!”
Batol quickly hushed her and warned her never to speak like that again.
> “People shouldn’t know about my feelings for Yazid. He is engaged, and I can't do anything about it now. I just have to accept it.”
The sisters walked inside the house. Their mother, Mumma, was watching TV and casually informed them:
> “Batol, Yazid called. He’s on his way here. He said to let you know.”
Batol’s heart skipped a beat. She excused herself and rushed to her room. She changed into a simple but elegant black gown. Though she wore no makeup, her beauty still radiated.
Yazid's Arrival and Emotions Running High
Yazid arrived and sat comfortably in the living room, scrolling on his phone. The moment Batol walked in, the scent of her perfume made him turn. Their eyes met, and emotions filled the air.
Batol, overwhelmed, quickly looked away, blinking back fresh tears. Yazid chuckled and said:
> “What happened to my brave Batol? Can’t you even look at me anymore?”
She threw a pillow at him, laughing through her pain, and he threw one back. They began their usual playful exchange.
Mumma entered and scolded them gently:
> “You two are still like kids! But you better grow up soon. I can already see how Batol will suffer when Yazid’s wife takes him away!”
Her words were like daggers. Both Yazid and Batol’s faces changed instantly. Even Lil Sis, watching, felt the tension. To distract themselves, they picked up water bottles and took long sips—all three of them at once. But the weight of Mumma’s words lingered in the air.
