ABOUT THIS BOOK

Description

The Silent Struggle of Muhsin

Under the soothing shade of a large tree at the edge of town, Muhsin sat quietly, a book and pen in hand, attempting to write. This tree was his usual retreat—his thinking space. But like many times before, he couldn’t pen a single letter. Frustration took over. He wept bitterly, banging his head against the tree, overwhelmed by his inability to translate the storm of ideas in his heart into written words.

Unknown to him, he was being watched—by someone who deeply loved and understood his pain. She cried silently for him, moved by the sight of his anguish. Though he couldn't see her, her love and empathy for him had been unwavering for twenty years. She had always been with him—comforting, supporting, and guiding him from the shadows.

Who is Muhsin?

Muhsin Al’hussain is the second son of the ruling king of Garin Gabas, a prominent city within the Lumai empire. His father, Sarki Al’hussain, is a respected Muslim king. Muhsin’s family is wealthy and educated, and all his siblings excel in academics—except him. Despite his passion for knowledge and books, he struggles immensely. No matter how hard he tries, the knowledge never sticks. His mind refuses to retain anything he studies.

This earned him ridicule from peers and even family. Some called him a fool, others pitied him. But while he failed academically, he harbored a fiery passion to become a writer. He often imagined stories in his head, but when it came time to write them down, his mind became foggy and confused.

The Secret Lover: A Jin in Love

The narrator, a female being named Na’eema, is not human—she is a Jin, from a noble and respected lineage. Her father is a prominent Islamic scholar in their realm. Since she first saw Muhsin at the age of five, she had felt an overwhelming love and compassion for him. She became bound to his soul, always watching over him, trying to ease his loneliness.

Though Muhsin never recognized her existence in reality, he had met her many times in dreams. In those dreams, she declared her love, but he dismissed it as just fantasy. Still, she remained patient, determined to ease his pain from the spiritual realm, appearing in his dreams to console him and feed him hope.

She also tried many times to persuade her parents—especially her father—to help cure Muhsin’s condition. But they refused, despite her firm belief that her father knew a way to help him. Her love for Muhsin became more than emotion—it was a mission she had committed her entire existence to.

A Divine Interruption

One day, as Na’eema sat beside Muhsin while he slept peacefully under the tree, she prepared to spiritually connect with him again—to comfort him through a dream encounter. Just as she was about to merge into his consciousness, a hand suddenly gripped her shoulder. “Stop, Na’eema,” said a voice.

She turned around in shock—it was her mother, Ummy, a figure she never expected to find in this place and time. Her mother was visibly angry and filled with concern. She scolded Na’eema for her recklessness. “Do you know the chaos your disappearance caused?” she asked. Apparently, the royal guards of the Jin world had searched all over for Na’eema, not knowing she had been with Muhsin all along.

Confused, Na’eema followed her mother without resistance. Together, they vanished instantly, reappearing in the grand guest chamber of her father’s palace. There, Na’eema found herself in the presence of powerful figures: her father Malam, King Shadad (ruler of the entire Jin kingdom), Queen Ummu Haiman, and Prince Haiman. These were not strangers—she had known them all her life—but their presence at once was deeply significant.

What Does the Future Hold?

Despite the familiar faces, Na’eema could sense something different—something serious. Her mother’s urgency, her father’s rare silence, and the unexpected audience of the king’s entourage made her realize: something important was about to be revealed.

She greeted the gathering respectfully, then sat near her father, waiting to hear the purpose of the summons. Her heart raced with questions. What did they want from her? Why had she been urgently retrieved? And most of all, what would happen to her connection with Muhsin—the human she had loved in silence for decades?

As she sat quietly, her father began to speak. And so, a new chapter in the story began…
