ABOUT THIS BOOK

Description

A Dark Trail into the Unknown

They were sprinting frantically, racing for their lives through the thick, ominous forest. Shouts for help escaped their lips in waves, but the only answer was eerie silence. The forest was vast and wild, with no signs of civilization in any direction—no houses ahead, none behind.

The place was swallowed by giant trees standing like ancient guardians. The two girls kept running, stumbling through the overgrown paths. It felt like they were fleeing from something far beyond human understanding. The pounding of their feet matched the drumming of their hearts.

Suddenly, they heard it again—the unmistakable rustle behind them. It wasn't human. It wasn’t animal. It was something sinister. Whatever it was, it wasn’t just following them. It was chasing them with intent.

They dared not look back.

Falling into Fear

One of the girls, drenched in sweat and breathing heavily, could barely move anymore. Her legs wobbled, and her cries grew weaker. The younger one tried to support her, pulling her forward, begging her not to stop.

But she collapsed.

Her body gave in completely, and she fainted. The younger girl screamed, trying to rouse her. The noise echoed hauntingly through the forest, bouncing between the trees and fading into silence. She knew she couldn’t leave her behind, but what choice did she have?

Then—a shadow moved.

Not in the distance, but close. Very close.

The girl’s heart stopped. She turned slowly, eyes wide with terror, expecting to see death itself. But there was nothing—just the whispering trees and a trail of dry leaves scattered on the ground.

Suddenly, a chilling gust blew past her, as though something had just run by her side.

She screamed.

Captured by a Nightmare

Before she could blink, she felt herself being lifted. Something had grabbed her—cold, strong, inhuman. It was dragging her. She fought, kicked, screamed. She could still see her sister’s lifeless body lying a few feet away as her vision blurred.

“Allah! Help us!” she screamed.

The forest mocked her with silence.

Then, she blacked out.

When she awoke, she was in a strange place—dark, with flickering lights like those from fireflies, but they didn’t give warmth. She was tied to a post, hands numb. She could see shadows moving in the distance—tall, grotesque creatures with long limbs and glowing eyes.

The monsters spoke in murmurs, their voices like rustling leaves and cracking branches. She didn’t understand them, but she could feel what they meant.

They were deciding what to do with her.

She tried to cry, but her throat was dry. Her soul trembled. In that moment, she remembered every prayer her mother taught her as a child.

And she whispered them—over and over.

The Struggle for Survival

Days passed. Or maybe hours. Time made no sense in that place. One moment she was screaming in terror, and the next, she was silent, listening.

That’s when she noticed it—a slight movement in the corner. Another human?

No. It was her sister.

Alive.

But weak.

She had been tied too, in another corner. Their eyes met, and tears streamed down their faces. No words. Just silent pain and love.

Suddenly, something changed. One of the monsters approached and untied the elder sister. The younger girl watched in horror as they dragged her toward what looked like a massive cave.

“No!!” she shouted with every ounce of strength in her voice.

She struggled against her bonds, bruising her wrists, but it was useless. The last thing she saw was her sister being swallowed by the darkness.

That broke her.

Something inside her snapped. And in that raw moment of loss and desperation, something unexpected happened.

Her ropes loosened.

She didn’t understand how—but she didn’t wait to question it. She ran.

Ran with tears in her eyes. Ran barefoot through thorns. Ran until the forest started thinning out and she could finally see a sliver of dawn peeking through the trees.

She had escaped.

But at what cost?

A Story Etched in Shadows

That morning, villagers found her lying at the edge of the forest. Her eyes were hollow, her clothes torn, body bruised and scratched. She spoke little. Only one thing kept coming from her lips:

“Na bar ‘yar uwata… sun É—auketa…”

I left my sister… they took her…

Everyone believed she had gone mad. Some said she saw spirits. Others blamed it on trauma or forest demons.

But she knew the truth.

And every night when she closed her eyes, she saw that forest again—the monstrous shadows, the glowing eyes, the chilling silence—and the sister she couldn’t save.
