ABOUT THIS BOOK

Description

Immediately, Hadiza and Hindatu teamed up, fried the guinea fowl, and cooked rice, pasta, and stew for them (which was considered the height of upscale food). The food was then brought to them.
Malam Musa, who was now standing on his own two feet, kept thanking Allah for showing him this day of standing on his feet once again.
They ate the food together. Hassana and Usaina shared one plate, but today, Husnah ate alongside Hindatu. She felt deeply sorry for Hadiza ever since she heard how life had taken a turn for them. Inna Gaji, while chewing on the meat, was still feeling bitter about her guinea fowl. Knowing they would eventually leave, she muttered under her breath, "By the Qur'an, I will deal with you, Hadiza. That was a guinea fowl I intended to sell so I could use the money to start making down payments on your wedding items, but you grabbed it as if you were frying it for your mother's sister. Mark my words, you must pay me my money."
She washed it down with a Maltina and continued her grumbling, letting out a loud burp.
Pushing the bowl aside, she said, "By the Qur'an, this food is delicious! Goodness knows where Hindatu learned to cook like this."
Hajiya Batula, on her part, instructed that Abubakar be called for her, but due to network issues, they could not reach him.
Malam Musa asked, "So, is Abubakar actually the A.S. Yunus Gold?"
Hajiya Batulu replied, "Oh, Malam Musa, are you still surprised? That is just how Allah works His wonders."
"May Allah increase his success," Malam Musa prayed.
Hajiya answered with an "Ameen."
Baba then called for Inna Gaji. She walked in looking like a hypocrite and said, "Welcome, Hajiya." Sidling up to the doorway, she added, "Here I am, Malam."
Malam Musa cleared his throat and began telling her the purpose of Hajiya and her companion's visit regarding Husnah.
Having no other choice, Inna Gaji said, "May Allah bring forth blessings."
Hajiya Batulu replied, "Ameen." She then added, "Since things have turned out this way, let everything be finalized in a couple of days so we can all rest."
Baba smiled and said, "Whatever you decide, she is your daughter, Hajiya." Hajiya Batulu was delighted to hear this. They waited to perform their prayers before coming out to head back to Kano, the city of Dabo.
Husnah, who felt a strong urge to stay behind, said, "What if I change my mind about leaving?"
Hassana gave her a playful nudge and said, "Listen to this gossip! Ever since you arrived, you've been clinging to Baba. Even if we told you to come back with us, you wouldn't go." They all burst into laughter. "May Allah protect you, may Allah grant you a safe journey," Husnah and the others called out as they boarded the car, and those inside responded.
Malam Musa wished to see them off, but he couldn't because his legs were trembling. Instead, he prayed for their safe arrival. They departed, deeply missing one another.
The news spread throughout the town of Danmarina that Husnah had returned looking like an Arab lady, and that it was actually Inna Gaji who had driven her out of the town. This became the town's gossip everywhere, leaving Inna Gaji unable to find any peace of mind.
That same day, the bride-price for Hindatu was brought. Malam Musa told them, "Please exercise patience, as her sister's wedding will be combined with hers. Once a date is set, I will inform you." Salis was very pleased with this arrangement. Two days later, he left for Lagos, stating that whatever the updates were, he should be informed, as he would not return until the wedding.
Everyone was amazed by how quickly Baba recovered. Inna Gaji, on the other hand, could no longer mingle with the local women, because the moment she sat among them, they would begin throwing insinuations and bitter remarks at her. Husnah, meanwhile, became very close with everyone, as she naturally loved them all.
By now, Hadiza had also warmed up to Garba, having accepted her destiny. His mind was finally at ease, and he focused entirely on preparing for their wedding, which was now only a few days away.
"Are you going to betray my trust, Sara? Is that how you speak to my husband?" Sara, who had fully prepared for this day, replied, "Is it forbidden? Or were you told that everyone is crazy like you..." Zainab slapped Sara squarely across the face, and they immediately broke into a fight. Daddy, who was utterly baffled by the situation, barely managed to separate them. Sara walked out, calling Zainab an ungrateful person, and they parted ways on very bitter terms. The security guard and the driver escorted her out.
Zainab was in floods of tears, deeply regretting ever knowing Sara in her life. Daddy, who was secretly pleased with how things turned out, said, "Alhamdulillah. After I marry my new bride, I will see if I can add Hajiya Sara as well." Zainab immediately stopped crying and stared at him in utter shock, tears from Sara's betrayal still streaming down her face.
"Wallahi, I will never let you marry that prostitute of a woman! She has absolutely no fear of God in her heart. I agree to you marrying someone else now, but for the love of God, do not marry Sara. Wallahi, she will drive me out of my own house. If you do this to me, you are not treating me fairly."
