ABOUT THIS BOOK

Description

Some attractive young women were sitting in a spacious parlor. Some of them were smoking shisha while others were busy with different activities. One of the women opened her mouth and called out loudly:
“Ayma! Ayma! Ayma!”
A young girl came out from the kitchen and said,
“Hajiya, I’m here. What should I bring?”
The woman who was called Hajiya replied:
“Ayma, honestly if you call me ‘Hajiya’ again I will slap you. How many times have I told you? My name is Saudat. But you never listen. Just bring food for my friends.”
Ayma replied:
“I’m sorry, Aunty Saudat. I won’t do it again.”
Then one of the women said:
“Saudat, haven’t you sent that girl away yet? I’m afraid that when she grows up and becomes beautiful she might attract Ayman’s attention and he might marry her. Then all your influence in this house will be gone.”
Saudat replied:
“That’s impossible. Ayman has never even noticed her in this house.”
Raha said:
“You should still think about it.”
Safra said:
“Saudat, just give her to me. I’ll take her to replace one of my maids.”
Saudat replied:
“Alright, let her pack her things and go with you.”
When Ayma brought them their food, Saudat said:
“Ayma, pack your belongings. You will go and live in Safra’s house.”
Ayma simply replied, “Okay,” and left the parlor to gather her things.
After she packed, she came out again. Safra said:
“Girls, I’m leaving now because I have a guest today.”
They replied:
“Alright, we’ll talk later.”
Ayma followed Safra out.
After they left, Raha said:
“Saudat, that girl is really beautiful. Where did you find her?”
Saudat replied:
“I picked her up from another woman.”
They then continued with their activities.
Later, the story describes a luxurious club where only the children of wealthy families usually gather. A very handsome man, about 37 years old, was there. From a single look you could tell he was wealthy and lived a comfortable life.
Later he left the club and returned to one of his houses. After some time he gave the women money and told them to share it among themselves. One of them said:
“Ayman, I’ll just sleep here tonight.”
He looked at her seriously and said:
“I don’t sleep with women in my house. And I don’t repeat myself. So make sure I don’t come back and find you here.”
After saying that, he went inside, took a bath, and dressed in elegant and expensive clothes. He sprayed himself with perfume and came out again. When he didn’t find them, he left.
His bodyguards opened the car for him and they drove away toward the councilors’ area of Katsina town. When he arrived home, he went straight to his section of the house, knowing that his wife rarely had time for him.
He prepared to sleep when Saudat came in and sat beside him, saying:
“My dear, so you’re back?”
He ignored her. She tried to speak again…
