Fati sat quietly in her dorm room, flipping through the pages of a book. It was a calm afternoon, the kind she loved—peaceful and filled with reflection. As she read, the door creaked open and her friend Larai walked in, her face lighting up as always.
 
They were both students in a girls’ boarding school and had grown close over time. Fati was the quiet, thoughtful type. Larai, on the other hand, was playful and talkative. Despite their differences, their friendship worked beautifully.
 
A Conversation About Life and the Future
 
“What are you reading so seriously?” Larai asked, walking closer with a curious smile.
 
Fati looked up, “It’s a story about marriage and how young women struggle to find understanding in their partners.”
 
Larai sat down beside her, resting her chin in her palm. “Do you think people like us will ever find husbands who truly understand us like in the books?”

After a while, Larai began to feel sleepy. She leaned gently on Fati’s shoulder. “I’ll just rest a bit before we go for dinner. You know today’s meal is supposed to be special,” she murmured.
 
Fati adjusted a pillow behind her and let her friend rest comfortably. She picked up her book again and continued reading quietly, her heart full—grateful for friendship, ambition, and calm moments like this.
