Ruhin Fansa Part 2 Complete Hausa Novel
Aiban rushed out with Najma directly to his hospital. In the middle of his intense anxiety, wasting time was out of the question. He had completely lost any sense of comfort or understanding—he didn’t even know if he was in heaven or on earth. His mouth was dry, unable to utter even a single word, but silently praying every prayer that came to mind. He could hear Nani’s crying deeply in his soul, for he had never heard a woman’s cry like Nani’s before.
Without even arranging parking properly, he hurriedly carried Najma inside, with Nani following closely behind. They went straight to the Emergency room. Nurses followed, along with his friend Dr. Auwal. One nurse held Nani back, saying, “Sorry madam, you can’t enter.” She closed the door gently behind her. Nani was left sitting on a chair near the door, feeling helpless. All she could do was pray for Najma’s recovery because she knew for sure that if Najma didn’t survive, life would never be peaceful for her again.
Doctors Try Their Best, But Hope is Fading
Both Dr. Aiban and Dr. Auwal tried their best on Najma but there was no improvement. Aiban sighed deeply and said, “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un.” (Surely we belong to God and to Him we shall return.) Dr. Auwal consoled him, saying, “Be patient, my friend. Luckily the injection hasn’t fully settled in her body yet. There is a chance she hasn’t absorbed it completely. Insha Allah, we will try another method now.”
Quickly, Aiban said, “I’ll call Dr. Naman now.” Dr. Naman was in India, his first teacher when he studied medicine there. He was a renowned doctor who respected Aiban for his dedication and hard work. Aiban called him and spoke in English, “Dr. Aiban, how are you doing?”
Dr. Aiban replied in English, “Alhamdulillah, sir. I called because of an urgent issue.”
Calmly, Dr. Naman said, “How can I help?” Aiban explained the situation with Najma. Dr. Naman nodded and said, “Don’t worry, everything will be fine. Fortunately, the injection hasn’t fully taken effect. I will tell you the injections to give her that will neutralize the poison. You must bring her here as soon as possible, no later than tomorrow. Pay special attention to her face—I know what to do.”
Aiban thanked Dr. Naman and ended the call. He quickly prepared the necessary injections. Having endured much hardship, he found Najma just as Dr. Auwal finished treating her face, wrapping it with bandages so that nothing was visible except a white cloth. By God’s grace, they administered the injections, then quickly sought permission to travel without delay.
Ahaad Awakens and Family Tensions
Meanwhile, Ahaad slowly opened his swollen, bloodshot eyes. He scanned the people around him but couldn’t recognize anyone. He gently rubbed his head, feeling it was about to burst. He closed his eyes again, and only after Mama coaxed him with medicine did he fall asleep again.
“Where are you from? And you?” Mama asked Fadila.
Fadila rolled her eyes and said, “Mama, why do you treat me like a little girl? Why do you keep asking where I’m going?”
Mama changed the subject, “Don’t you know what happened to your sister?”
Fadila grimaced and said angrily, “Who here doesn’t know? Everyone says she was splashed with acid and disfigured. They even thought her body was stolen. I’m going inside to rest.”
Without waiting for Mama’s response, she went inside laughing wickedly.
Aiban Faces Family Pressure
Aiban didn’t return home until around 11 PM, after making sure everything for the trip was ready. He didn’t struggle much because patients weren’t allowed to leave the country without proper arrangements. He had planned to travel with Nani and Dr. Auwal. On his way in, Hajiya Sadiya confronted him with suspicion, “I hope you didn’t take Najma? I will never accept any relationship between you and that wicked woman.”
Normally, Aiban wouldn’t lie to Hajiya and would try to explain, but this time he found himself saying, “Not even close to Ummana. Since we went with Shuhada earlier, I haven’t returned home. May God protect us. I already heard what happened.”
Hajiya pursed her lips and left without replying.
Rubbing his head, Aiban went to his room and met Muslim. Looking worried, he asked, “Are you okay? What’s troubling you?”
Muslim sighed, “Bro, I’m really anxious. That cruel man divorced the woman in anger, and now he’s worried about the acid attack on the girl. What’s more troubling is that her body hasn’t been found, and no one knows who did this. And there’s Shuhada—I don’t know what to do with her. I myself feel no peace, as if Najma is like a sister to me. I feel the pain in my heart.”
“May God give you strength. Try to calm Ahaad, and Insha Allah, I will take care of Shuhada and Najma. May God reveal the truth to us. I’m just trying to hold on,” Aiban said, opening his door and seeing Shuhada sitting, her head bowed in tears.
Quickly, he approached and said, “Come on, come on, my sweet sister. What’s making you cry? Where is Ahaad? Did he divorce the woman he married in front of you? Why are you crying like this?”
Through her tears, Shuhada said, “I’m not crying because he divorced her. Listen to the injustice done to Najma. You don’t seem to care. I love you all, and I know this black injustice is a conspiracy.”
“That’s enough, I don’t want to hear it. Pray for her and Insha Allah, everything will be alright. I don’t want this kind of crying,” Aiban comforted her. Shuhada stopped crying and went to lie down.
Aiban Prepares for the Trip to India
Since dawn, Aiban greeted Hajiya at her door. She smiled and said, “Come in, Muhammad, it’s time to wake up.”
He entered and saw her sitting on the bed wearing a hijab, apparently done with prayer. He greeted her respectfully, “Hajiya, good morning. Are you well? Did you sleep well?”
She smiled with great love for her son, “I’m fine, Muhammad. I’m happy to see you well.”
He nodded, wanting to tell her something but hesitated because of his embarrassment. Finally, he said, “Hajiya, I am going to India early this morning.”
“Going to India now? You didn’t prepare for this trip,” she said.
“I’ve known about the trip since yesterday but didn’t tell you because I wouldn’t be back soon. This is an emergency mission. We’ve spoken with Abba at the mosque, and I will be there for about two weeks,” he explained.
She nodded and said, “Alright, since it’s a life-saving mission, may God grant success and keep you safe.”
He quietly said “Ameen,” stood up, and left to prepare.
The Journey Begins
By 8 AM, he was ready, had breakfast, and Hajiya urged him to eat more. He said goodbye and left. He quickly drove to the hospital, went straight to Emergency, and found Najma still there. He was about to leave her there but was told they were waiting to leave for the airport.
He gently stroked Najma’s face with deep sympathy and said softly, “May God grant you health, Khadija. May this new place be a cure for all your suffering. May you have a new life and forget the thoughts of revenge that weigh on your heart, for one evil deed does not erase another.”
Wiping a tear from his eye, they placed her on a stretcher and loaded her into the ambulance. They headed to the airport.
When they arrived, the plane was about to take off, so they didn’t waste time and boarded quickly. Within minutes, the plane soared into the sky and headed to India.
