Rights, publishing and takedowns
Ashwar Media Hausa is a publishing platform. Publishers are responsible for having the rights or permission required for every work they submit.
We record copyright complaints, review the specific URLs reported, may restrict access while a claim is assessed, and provide a counter-notice path for affected publishers or rights holders.
Publisher responsibility
Before an ebook can be submitted, the publisher must confirm that they own the work or are authorised to publish and distribute it under the selected access and pricing terms. Ashwar Media Hausa may request additional evidence, reject a submission, suspend a publisher, or restrict a book when ownership is disputed.
Reporting material
If you believe material on this platform infringes rights you own or are authorised to enforce, use the takedown form and provide the copyrighted work, exact Ashwar Media URLs, your contact details, required declarations and an electronic signature.

What happens after a report
A case reference is created so the claimant can check its status. Staff may request more information, restrict the reported material during review, notify the affected publisher, reject an insufficient claim, or resolve the case after review.
Counter-notices
An affected publisher or other authorised respondent may submit a counter-notice when they believe a removal or restriction resulted from a mistake or misidentification. Counter-notices are linked to the original case so the administrative history remains traceable.
Repeat or serious infringement
Accounts or publishers associated with repeated or serious copyright violations may be restricted or suspended. This policy does not prevent Ashwar Media Hausa from taking additional action when required by applicable law, a court order, or platform safety needs.
Transparency and privacy
Claim and counter-notice information is used to review the copyright dispute and maintain an audit trail. Sensitive evidence is stored outside the public web directory. We do not publish claimant attachments as ordinary site content.
