His Shock and Her Confession
Slowly, thin tears began to roll down his face as he stared into her eyes. He tried to speak but couldn’t. His body felt drained, as though every strength‐bearing part of him had been pulled out. From the way she was speaking, he was now convinced she had a hand in the calamity he found himself in. The only thing echoing in his heart was “Inna lillahi…” No matter how hard he tried to lift his hand, he couldn’t. He watched helplessly as she stood up and walked out of the room. Within a few minutes, she returned with her phone. She sat beside him and played the recording.
The entire conversation she had with Mutalib from beginning to end was there — nothing left out, even the call he had with Qalam and how he tried to explain the evidence he got. After they finished listening, she turned off the recording and looked at him.
“Are you surprised? Well, let me tell you, every movement you make is under my eyes, Jamid. And I know exactly what you’ve been planning. You really thought this—” she pointed at the drive “…would stop my mission? You think this would end what I have planned for years? Were you planning to bring me down? Why? I am your wife. Why can’t you support me? Do you know the pain I’ve carried inside me for years? From the day that boy appeared in our lives, every happiness left us. And he caused Ummu’s death right in front of my eyes. His presence took the life out of her.”
Her eyes turned so red, her expression changed to one of heartbreaking sadness, and tears streamed down her face.
Jamid only stared at her. But the type of look he gave her made her suddenly burst into laughter.
“Hahahahaha!” She laughed long and hard, then suddenly stopped. With bloodshot eyes she continued, “Anyone who steps into my path—I will remove, no matter who they are. Why didn’t you stay in your lane? Why interfere? Now you’ve seen the consequences. But let me tell you the most interesting part…”
She leaned closer to his ear, so close that only he could hear her.
“In less than a minute and with just a little money, I had him hit by a car. Deep down, I wanted him dead, but leaving him like that felt too easy. So I changed the plan. I have never regretted it. I want him to suffer. I won’t kill him now, but I will destroy his life. I will make him helpless, make him a nobody. As I promised — Tajudeen will never know peace until he dies, as long as I’m alive. I will make sure he suffers. I’ll make sure even an animal lives better than him. In fact, whatever I do to him, it will never erase the stain he left on my heart until I see the end of his breath — and I mean it.’’
When she finished, she stood up. Her body shook slightly as she turned.
Jamid was thrown into deep terror — especially hearing her admit she caused Taj’s accident. Her words held no remorse, no humanity. And he was certain she would carry out everything she said. Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un.
Taj and Sabeeha’s lives were in danger. Only Allah knew what she was planning next.
With great effort, he finally managed to open his trembling mouth, tears falling down his face.
“Al…llah…ba…zai…ta…ba…ba…ki…iko…ba…”
She froze, listened to him finish, then walked out of the room.
The Missing File and Rising Panic
She walked straight into her study, pulled her laptop closer, and inserted the drive. After navigating through the folders, she found the file location. She was surprised there was no password — files like this were usually hidden. Just as she was about to open it, her phone rang. She quickly answered.
“Bring him in,” she said before dropping the phone.
A few minutes later, the head maid entered with a man in a green uniform and white cap — a worker from the psychiatric hospital. Hidaya signaled the maid to leave and pointed at the chair facing her table.
He quickly obeyed and dropped the bag he brought.
“Good day, madam,” he greeted.
She didn’t bother responding. She simply relaxed in her chair and examined him from head to toe. He was exactly what she needed — someone whose silence she could guarantee. The doctors she used to hire for secret jobs had become unreliable, secretly working for Khaal. She needed full control now.
She motioned with her hand for him to give her what he brought. He opened his bag, brought out three bottles of medication and a vial, and placed them in front of her.
“Madam, these are the items you requested,” he said and began explaining the dosage.
She cut him off immediately, opened her drawer, pulled out bundles of Saudi Riyals, placed them on the table, and said, “How I use them is not your concern. You’re dismissed.”
Terrified, he grabbed the money and hurried out. In his mind, he prayed she wouldn’t misuse the drugs — psychiatric medications were dangerous if taken beyond prescribed limits. But it wasn’t his problem anymore; he had been paid heavily.
Hidaya picked up the drugs and left.
At the hallway, Sabeeha stood near the door hoping to find a chance to sneak in and see Jamid. But fear held her back — Hidaya had banned anyone from seeing him.
Later, Fadwa climbed the stairs and almost bumped into Sabeeha, who panicked thinking it was Hidaya. After Fadwa entered, Sabeeha quickly left.
Fadwa headed straight for the study.
Hidaya had just remembered the drive and returned. They met near the door. Fadwa startled like someone guilty. Hidaya stared at her suspiciously.
“What are you doing here?” she asked.
“I… I came to look for you.”
Hidaya glanced at her laptop and asked sharply, “Did you touch my laptop?”
“No! I just walked in now.”
Hidaya ignored her, checked her system, removed the drive, shut it down, and said coldly, “Never enter here again without my permission.”
She walked out, leaving Fadwa angry and unsettled. She stormed downstairs.
Later, Hidaya went to her office for a major meeting with Taheel Company’s foreign investors. After finishing business and signing documents, she remembered the drive again. She inserted it into her laptop — only to find it empty. Completely empty.
“What’s going on?” she shouted, trembling. “Empty? How?!”
In panic, she dialed a number immediately.
“You have 24 hours to find that agent — alive.”
She ended the call.
Her mind raced. She remembered taking the drive from Jamid’s car after he was hospitalized. So how was it empty?
“Jamid!!!” she whispered in rage, staring at the drive.
The Confrontation and Fear of What Comes Next
She rushed home and entered Jamid’s room. The nurse quietly left. Hidaya moved closer.
“Jamid! Where did you put the file? Where is it?” she demanded.
He stared at her confused — he didn’t understand what she meant.
She pulled the drive from her bag and raised it. “Jamid, you are testing my patience. Tell me where you kept the file that was in this drive. Are you still protecting him? What did you do with it? ANSWER ME!”
Jamid was shocked.
The file is missing? How?
He remembered Mutalib giving him the drive and leaving the car. He never opened it. He planned to hand it over to Qalam at DSS, but Qalam’s wife went into labor that same day. He hid the drive in his car, intending to deal with it later — before paralysis struck him.
“This is your doing, right?” she continued. “The more you try to bring about my downfall, the more I feel the urge to end Taj!”
Jamid exhaled deeply.
A surprising relief washed over him — she still didn’t have the file. That single file could end her entire empire. He didn’t care where the file was; he only thanked Allah that it wasn’t in her hands.
But then he remembered Mutalib — and fear returned. She would hunt him down.
She moved close, her eyes wild. “You’re forcing me to do my worst, Jamid. Even now, you still want to protect him?”
His lips trembled as he forced out words:
“Do… your… worst… ba… zan… taba… contri… buting… wa… jen… za… lin… ci… ba…”
She leaned closer just to hear him clearly. Their eyes locked — fear and confusion clashed inside hers. She knew she would never have peace until she found that file.
And he knew she would stop at nothing — including destroying everyone connected to it.
