ABOUT THIS BOOK

Description

Comfort and Reassurance

"Didih! Please reduce your thinking and worries. I swear your blood pressure is dangerously high, and your pregnancy needs your attention. If you continue stressing yourself from now, when the baby grows older they won’t allow you to give birth naturally, it will have to be a C-section. Please reduce your worries, even if only for the sake of Ablah."

I stared at him for a few seconds before letting out a deep breath and said,
"Abdul, I’m not thinking about anything. I'm just surprised at how my destiny turned out."

"Don’t be surprised by what Allah has written for your life. Just thank Him for giving you life and health, the very things you’re using to face your trials. If you didn’t have health, you would only watch everything helplessly and your pain would be double. And with your knowledge, you know that everything that happens to a servant is a trial. Isn’t that true? So there’s no way a person can say Allah has wronged them—He tests you and still gives you health. So what will you do if you don’t thank Him? And the people Allah tests are the ones He selects. When they endure, He prepares goodness for them."

My body calmed instantly. I lifted my head and looked at him.
"Thank you, Dudu! Insha Allah I’ll act on what you said, and I’ll reduce my worries."
"Good, Ummu Ablah."

Tears ran down my face as I remembered my children. I missed them deeply, but I prayed for them. May Allah fight for me, because they wronged us.

Sophia entered with Ablah, who behaved freely like she was at home. Maybe because she saw Affan—he was also holding her close. She placed my food down and said,
"Didih, you need to reduce thinking. I just heard someone advising you, and now you're back to it again."

I smiled so they wouldn’t think I was still lost in thought. I took the food and started eating, even though I was forcing myself. For their sake, I had to. After three spoonfuls, I felt full. I dropped the plate and pushed it aside.
"I'm full."

She handed me my medicine. I took it and said,
"I’ll go lie down."

"Please, Didih, stop overthinking."

I smiled and passed her, entering the room they gave me. They had emptied it for me three days earlier.

Escape and Hard Decisions

Allah gave me the strength to escape from Jordan. When I left the house, I ran into Ghaniyu but he didn’t recognize me. I left the palace area and the whole neighborhood. Once I got out, I opened my bag, brought out a small scarf and covered my face. Then I found a taxi that took me to the airport and I bought a ticket to Ukraine.

We didn’t take off until almost dawn. We left Jordan because I had lost all peace of mind.

It was Ummi who advised me earlier. She came to my room and said,
"If you see trouble, pack your things and leave. Let them destroy themselves. Don’t come to Nigeria, they will chase you and your father will hand you over. Go to Dudu. Stay in peace."

So when he told me,
"Get out of my life, SAFINAH! Stay away from me or I’ll harm you. I don’t want to see your face. Safinah, leave! I hate you."

Those words burned like fire. Ashraf had already destroyed me, but it’s okay—Allah will handle my justice.

Jordan…

The situation in Jordan required prayers. Ashraf ordered two beheadings out of anger. He was no longer stable—anything irritated him or made him think people were calling him mad.

He stopped coming to the palace completely. He grew a huge beard and talked to no one, not even Nannah.

As for Zoyah, her tribesmen returned her to Salman Bin Abul Bashari. He personally returned her. As he spoke, Sultan lay on the couch with his eyes closed and didn’t open them until he was finished. Bashari was an elderly man.

Ashraf struggled to say,
"Thank you very much."

Then he left the hall.

From that day, he didn’t see anyone again—not even Nannah. When Nannah saw Zoyah, her anger rose, but she pretended not to care.
Ashraf simply watched them.

Things happen in life. Their solution is prayer. The sword of the Muslims is patience. So I removed Ashraf from my life and focused on my pregnancy. I guarded everything carefully.

Slowly, life was renewing itself—especially when you let go of a toxic desire.

My brother and his wife did nothing but amaze me with their kindness. Their presence alone brought joy.

Truth and Consequences

"Assalamu alaikum! Hmm, Ummi, I’m tired. I called to ask if Safinah is with you. It’s been three days since she left home, and I don’t know where she is. Please forgive me if she’s there."

Ummi smiled and said,
"This is exactly what I feared—from you and your mother. Allah will reward Safinah because she was good to you. I know you don’t understand her value, but she knew who you were. And your mother—if Safinah wasn’t around, you wouldn’t even recognize her if you saw her on the road. Yet she risked her life for you, and this is how you repaid her. I’m shocked. You oppressed her, but Allah is with the truthful. I pray she is in good hands. I know she left this country because of you."
