ABOUT THIS BOOK

Description

The Lady of Grandeur

I saw a beautiful young woman stepping elegantly out of a brand-new luxury car — the kind that would cost nothing less than ₦1,000,500. She walked straight toward a large corporate building, her every movement graceful and captivating.

She wore a black lace outfit — a perfectly tailored top and skirt that fit her body like it was made just for her. Her head was uncovered, save for a small scarf draped stylishly, and her well-styled hair was neatly packed. A pair of huge designer glasses covered half her face, with the bold words “NO RESPECT” written across them. On her feet were shiny, pointed black heels, and she chewed gum carelessly, her lips shimmering.

> “Kai! She’s truly stunning in every sense — readers, just imagine her before your eyes!”

With pride and confidence, she walked through the company halls; the clicking of her heels and the rhythm of her chewing gum echoed all around. Everyone she passed stared, admiring her poise and beauty.

Just as she was about to enter her office, she crossed paths with the Managing Director (MD) of the company.

Bowing slightly, he said, “Good day, madam. You are welcome.”
At first, she seemed like she wouldn’t reply, but then she simply said coldly, “Welcome,” before walking past him.

The Power Behind the Name

Inside her office — a beautifully arranged space that reflected elegance and wealth — she took her seat. She wasn’t just any staff member; she was the Director and owner of the entire company.

AMREESH GLARY AND SHOES LUXURY’S
—that was the name of the company, written in bold, shiny letters on the wall, glowing with a glossy finish that sparkled even in daylight.

Even I, Mujaheedah (The MLM’s Wife), couldn’t help but open my mouth in awe at how beautiful the place was — everything was organized, expensive, and glowing with class.

Her phone rang; she answered briefly, then said, “Send in the MD,” before cutting the call.

Moments later, the MD entered respectfully. She gave him permission to sit and asked,
“MD, is there anything the company needs at the moment? Or any concerns from the members?”

With humility, he replied, “No, madam. Everything is going well. You’ve always stood by us; may Allah reward you.”

“Ameen,” she said softly. “Continue working sincerely, and I will keep supporting you as much as I can. For now, send a letter to Neeru concerning some of the new staff.”

“Yes, madam. It’s done,” he said, before leaving.

By 6:15 p.m., she locked her office, leaving everything in the MD’s hands, and drove home.

Inside the House of “Maizaman Kanta”

She arrived at a beautifully structured house, and within moments, the gate opened for her. But instead of finding parents or elders inside, she found three young women lounging in the living room — one was chatting endlessly, another glued to her phone, and the third puffing smoke from a shisha pipe, with cigarette boxes scattered around.

With a serious face, she greeted them coldly and said,
“Didn’t I warn you all not to smoke these things inside the house? If you can’t stop using them, at least don’t bring them into my parlor.”

They all turned to her.

Ramsy, the one smoking, said, “Come on, Maizaman Kanta! Why do you always treat me this way? You hate me the most in this house.”

“It’s not about hate,” she replied sharply. “I just don’t like it.” Then she walked to her room.

Rash burst into laughter and said, “We all know she’s the queen among us. We’re street girls, but she’s the real Maizaman Kanta.”

Fauxy stood up and snapped, “You girls should change your lifestyle. She’s the one feeding you, and she’s not even a prostitute — nor does she use drugs. You should respect her.” Then she followed Maizaman Kanta inside.

The others laughed louder, clapping mockingly.
“Not a prostitute? Hahaha! But she’s Maizaman Kanta! She’s even worse — that name fits her perfectly!”

Their laughter echoed through the house, but behind that mockery was envy — envy of the woman they called Maizaman Kanta, the lady with beauty, power, and mystery.
