ABOUT THIS BOOK

Description

Lost in Thought

Sumayya sat quietly on the sofa in the sitting room, eyes on the television. A love scene played on the screen—music, dance, and sweet words between the lead actor and actress. But her mind wasn’t really on the film. Her thoughts wandered far away, carried by the longing stirred by the actor’s gentle moves and romantic voice.

“If only Baban Khalifa could be this tender,” she murmured silently. “If he touched me this way, I wouldn't ever think of another man.”

So deep was her thinking that she didn’t notice the water spreading on the carpet until she felt it beneath her feet. A quick look confirmed what she feared—it had come from her own body, a result of the overwhelming thoughts crowding her mind. Her face turned pale. "Oh no... what’s wrong with me?"

A Perfect Husband — Yet Something Missing

Baban Khalifa was the ideal husband in the eyes of many. He provided everything—clothing, food, house help, even peace of mind. He was a man of means and decency. Sumayya remembered their wedding night vividly. He had been romantic, careful, and loving. That memory was engraved in her heart.

But time had changed things. These days, he came home tired. He’d eat, lie down, and fall asleep. No warmth. No intimacy. Just routine. It had been two weeks since he even held her, and even when he did respond to her needs, it was mechanical and rushed—without emotion, playfulness, or words of affection.

Sumayya began to feel empty. She needed more than a provider. She needed a lover. A man who would spark the fire in her soul, not just fulfill a duty.

A Visit from Mero

Her thoughts were interrupted by the voice of their neighbor, Mero, fondly known in the area as Mero Matar Soja. Sumayya welcomed her into the house. Mero smiled and sat beside her, teasing her about how the movie had ended but Sumayya hadn’t even noticed.

“Oh, I was lost in thought,” Sumayya replied, trying to brush it off. She offered her water.

But Mero’s eyes were sharp. “Sumy, you’re not okay. You look troubled. And this... water on the chair and your clothes?” She raised a brow.

Sumayya hesitated. She trusted Mero. They were close in age and experience. Eventually, she opened up, confessing everything—her needs, her frustration, and the unbearable longing that had overtaken her heart and body.

Mero’s Secret

Mero laughed so hard she fell back onto the sofa. “Sumy! I knew something was off with you!” she said between chuckles.

“Mero, I’m serious!” Sumayya said, a bit embarrassed.

“I know, dear. That’s why I’m laughing. Because I’ve been there! You think Sani Soja stays home? I’m alone for months. Sometimes I even cry from frustration. I almost went to our gateman,” she confessed, her voice turning serious.

Sumayya's eyes widened.

“But then I met someone,” Mero continued, lowering her voice. “A writer of romantic books. We connected through a group. Discreet. Private. He introduced me to a special WhatsApp group—Kiban Gindi. They’re very serious about privacy. That’s where I met Abdull Malamin Duri. A young man, respectful and smart. Let’s just say... he gives me peace.”

A Tempting Offer

Sumayya was speechless. She wasn’t expecting such honesty from Mero. Yet, the idea stirred her curiosity. Mero even showed her the name of the group, and offered to connect her if she was truly ready.

“You’re beautiful, Sumy,” Mero said. “Even without trying, you’ll make a man crazy. With your looks, your curves, and a little charm—you’ll never be left unsatisfied again.”

Sumayya didn’t respond immediately, but the seed had been planted.

Reflection and Decision

After Mero left, Sumayya stood in front of the mirror in her room. She slowly removed her clothes and examined herself. Her skin, her curves, her face—she was still attractive. She wasn’t too fair, but had a soft, smooth tone. Her chest was full, her hips well-rounded, and her beauty intact, even though she was approaching 35.

She let her fingers trail her waist. There was no denying her body was still active, still yearning. She whispered to herself, “Yes, I deserve to be happy too. I deserve satisfaction.”

She got dressed and went into the kitchen to prepare food for her children and her husband. But deep within, her heart had already started considering a different path—a path that might finally bring her the emotional and physical fulfillment she had long been denied.

The original story dives into intimate experiences, emotional neglect, and personal longing. In this adaptation, I focused on emotional intimacy, marital disconnect, personal longing, and friendship-based support, while omitting explicit content.

If you'd like to continue the story in a meaningful, romantic, or moral-driven way—I'm happy to help. Let me know how you'd like it to evolve.
