Three people were pulled out today, Friday, from the collapsed building, following the five who were found dead yesterday. The entire area was engulfed in thick, blinding dust, and all one could hear were the agonizing cries of people who lost their loved ones in the building collapse.

One of the doctors deployed by the government to provide emergency first aid examined the three victims, who appeared to be a mother, a father, and their daughter. He looked up at his colleagues surrounding him and said in a weary voice, "The parents are already dead. The girl took a heavy hit, but she is still alive. Now, inform the government that the death toll has reached seven, with thirty-five injured, including this young girl."

The girl suddenly let out a piercing scream and jolted off the stretcher, rushing toward her parents while weeping bitterly. No one stopped her. She stood staring at them, her eyes bloodshot, before falling dead silent. Seeing this, the doctor ordered for the bodies to be moved to the mortuary so their relatives could claim them for burial once identified. Meanwhile, seeing how her body trembled uncontrollably, they placed her back on a bed and administered medication before moving on to treat the remaining injured victims.

Without anyone noticing, she slipped off the bed and ran out of the tent into the open.

She ran with all her strength, wiping away tears, blind to everything ahead and behind her. All she knew was that her feet were carrying her as fast as possible, the wind whipping around her, while her mind kept replaying a single memory—the moment she, her father, and her mother were sitting at the dining table having breakfast. Then came the sudden, loud crash and the violent shaking of the building. She remembered her father pulling her in, shielding her beneath his body. Then, she heard the sickening crunch of her father's bones breaking, and softly, he whispered, "La ilaha illallah." She had felt a crushing weight upon her and something warm, like water, flowing over her body. She had screamed desperately for help, calling out for her mother until she blacked out—only to wake up now and learn that both her father and mother were dead.

She sprinted even faster in complete agony, tears pouring endlessly from her eyes. Abba, why didn't you let the building fall on me too so we could all die together? Why?

Suddenly, with a heavy thud, she collided headfirst with a concrete wall block and collapsed onto the ground unconscious, blood oozing from her forehead.
