Breakfast Drama & Silent Jealousy
Heelah stood frozen, lips parted as she stared at Nisha gently serving Ajmal his breakfast. The rich aroma of food filled the parlour, and Nisha, with delicate care, had arranged everything Ajmal might need. The look on Heelah’s face screamed frustration. Every fibre of her being wanted to storm over, flip the tray off his table, and slap the calm off Nisha’s face. But instead, she bit her lip hard and stormed upstairs in silent rage.
The room fell eerily quiet.
Ajmal, unbothered, ate his food peacefully, eyes on his phone, completely unaware of the storm brewing. Nisha, on the other hand, glanced sadly at young Aheel cuddled against his father. Her heart ached—if only he were her son, she thought. He would’ve known nothing but love and care.
Ajmal was clearly enjoying the meal. As he caught Nisha staring at him, he raised an eyebrow.
"Are you okay?" he asked with a slight frown.
"I'm okay," she replied, startled, and quickly looked away.
After finishing, Ajmal glanced at Aheel—now dozing off in his lap. Gently nudging the boy, he smiled and said:
"My little boss, go greet Hajiya. Go with Nisha."
Aheel jumped up eagerly, following Nisha like a shadow as she picked up the tray.
No More Meals From Daddy’s Side
Ajmal suddenly said, "From now on, I don’t want any breakfast, lunch, or dinner from Daddy’s side. Everything I need is stocked in my personal store."
Nisha’s heart dropped. What does he mean? Am I to cook for him now, always? she wondered.
She softly replied, "Okay, I understand." Then left the room quietly, Aheel in tow.
Ajmal watched her walk away for the first time. Today’s outfit—a fitted skirt and blouse—enhanced her graceful figure. Something stirred in him. Her gentle walk was hypnotic.
Confrontation in the Bedroom
Later, Ajmal returned to his room and noticed it had been tidied—though not perfectly. He assumed Heelah did it. After freshening up, he sat with his laptop when Heelah entered. She sat beside him and gently rested her head on his shoulder, crying softly.
Surprised, he asked, "What are you crying for?"
"Why does everything I do never impress you? Tell me what I did wrong and I’ll apologize," she pleaded, gripping his hand.
"You didn’t wrong me," he replied, freeing his hand. "But impressing me shouldn’t be your struggle. Just know your role and stick to it."
"Then why that girl? Why is she cooking for you? I’m your wife!"
"She's just doing her job. I never asked for your competition," he said coldly, standing up.
Heelah, boiling with anger, blocked his way.
"Then I don’t want to see her in this part of the house again! Or I’ll ruin everything."
Ajmal grabbed her hair, furious.
"Don’t ever threaten me! She is my staff, not yours. Stay out of this!" He shoved her away and left, while she collapsed, sobbing like a broken woman.
Breakfast Joy and Surprise Proposal
The next morning, the family was gathered around the breakfast table. Everyone was cheerful—Hajia, Goggo Rabi, Ammi, Daddy, and the girls including Reeda, Fadeelah, and Nisha.
"So, Goggo Rabi, have you given up on going back home?" Daddy teased.
Goggo pouted, "Not yet! I’m waiting till the girls’ wedding is done."
"Which girls? These ones?" Daddy pointed at Reeda and Fadeelah.
Everyone laughed. "Reeda’s ready, but Fadeelah doesn’t even have a suitor yet!"
Suddenly, Ammi smiled. "Well, surprise! She does now."
Everyone gasped.
"Modibbo came to me last week. He wants Fadeelah’s hand in marriage for a young doctor—Doctor Fu’ad. A good man, educated and well-travelled."
Fadeelah jumped with joy and ran upstairs. Nisha and Reeda followed excitedly. The rest of the family praised the choice and began planning.
Nisha's Morning Kitchen Routine
By 8 AM the next morning, Nisha got dressed in a simple gown with a scarf and made her way to Ajmal’s side. After exchanging greetings with the guards, she quietly entered the kitchen.
She cleaned up and prepared a delicious breakfast for Ajmal, careful not to make a sound. But as she finished arranging everything on the table…
Heelah appeared.
"I knew it! You’re the rat in my kitchen," she said, walking menacingly toward Nisha. "What did you come to steal?"
"I just came to prepare breakfast for Papa Aheel," Nisha replied nervously.
"Well, that’s fine. But stay out of my husband's bedroom! That’s my space."
Heelah walked over to the dining table and examined Nisha’s dishes.
"I don’t want any of this. Make something else."
"I’m sorry, I have things to do now. I can’t cook again," Nisha replied politely.
"What do you mean? You’re his maid—you must obey me!"
"I work under your husband, not you. If you’re hungry, cook for yourself," Nisha said as she turned to leave.
Furious, Heelah grabbed her and slapped her hard across the face.
Ajmal Steps In
Before Nisha could react, another loud slap was heard. It wasn’t Nisha—this time Ajmal slapped Heelah.
He had seen it all from the stairs.
"Did you just slap her?! Over what?! You’ve crossed the line, Heelah!"
"You hit me over that maid?! Is she more important than me?" she screamed.
Heelah grabbed a small knife and lunged toward Nisha.
Nisha froze, trembling.
Ajmal quickly jumped in front, grabbed Heelah’s hand, twisted it, and threw the knife away.
He stood protectively in front of Nisha, breathing hard.
Final Note
This day changed everything in the household. Nisha’s role was no longer just that of a quiet servant. She was now the center of a storm between a possessive wife and a man who was just beginning to realize her worth.
And Heelah… she wasn’t going to back down so easily.
