ABOUT THIS BOOK

Description

DR DD Secondary School and Uncle Yahaya

Within the walls of the prestigious DR DD Secondary School, known for its modern playground and high standards, Uncle Yahaya was in the staff room busy marking students' books. His phone rang — it was Harun. Smiling, he muttered, “Zaka dame ni Harun.” But he didn’t answer. Harun called again, and still, Uncle Yahaya ignored it, focusing on his work.

Harun's Visit and Zainab’s Excitement

Meanwhile, at a well-furnished home, Zainab told her elder brother Ahmad, “Yaya Ahmad! Your friend Harun is here.” Surprised, Ahmad replied, “I thought he forgot. I know he was preparing for the military exams.”

Zainab, full of energy, pleaded, “Please invite him to eat with us. He’s such a kind person.”

Amused, Ahmad smiled and assured her he would. Though he was uneasy about Harun’s visit, he couldn’t deny his sister’s request. Their family, the household of Alhaji Kabiru, was respected and wealthy.

Kalisa and Her Father's Plan

In Alhaji Idris’ lavish home, his daughter Kalisa was on a joyous phone call with her admirer Umar — she beamed with happiness upon learning he would be writing the military exam.

When Alhaji Idris entered, she quickly dropped the phone. He sat beside her and said gently, “Kalisa, I’ve decided to find you a life partner, someone you’ll be proud of.” Alarmed, she asked, “Who is he, Daddy?”

With a warm smile, he said, “He’ll come soon.” Kalisa, curious and nervous, watched him walk away.

Harun Meets Zainab

On his way to Ahmad’s house, Harun walked deep in thought, reflecting on his many encounters with women. Disgusted by their behavior, he mumbled, “These girls don’t know hygiene. Look at what happened last Friday — she embarrassed me.”

He arrived at Ahmad’s home, greeted them, and stood frozen upon seeing Zainab. “Wow, beautiful girl!” he thought.

Ahmad introduced him, “This is Harun.” Zainab greeted him kindly, “Welcome, I hope your journey was smooth.” Harun smiled, “Yes, especially if good food awaits.”

Zainab giggled, pointing to the table, “I cooked something special.” As they sat to eat, Harun complimented the meal — and Zainab — “This meal is great, but not as beautiful as the one who made it.” Zainab blushed. Ahmad remained focused on his phone, unaware of Harun’s hidden admiration.

Uncle Yahaya and Laila's Secret Affair

Back at DR DD, Uncle Yahaya shared a moment with a student, Laila. “Why didn’t you wait for me yesterday?” he asked sweetly.

Laila shyly replied, “Nothing really.” He grinned, “I want love messages from you, write them in letters.” Embarrassed, Laila agreed.

As she left, her friend Khadija teased her, “So it’s love now with Uncle?”

Laila, teary-eyed, whispered, “I love him deeply, Khadija. My heart beats for him.”

Harun’s Immorality and Rufaida’s Resistance

Later that evening, Harun sat with Rufaida in his car. “Come home with me,” he begged. She refused.

He pressed further, saying he was angry. “Then ask for something, and I’ll forgive you,” he added. She reluctantly agreed.

“Close your eyes,” he said. Once she did, he forced a kiss on her. Disgusted, Rufaida shoved him away and stormed out.

“I knew you only wanted to ruin me, Harun. You’re disgusting!” she shouted, spitting at him. Humiliated, Harun muttered, “I rushed things... my mistake.”

Family Dinner Drama

At Alhaji Idris’ home, the family gathered for dinner. Kalisa was late, and when she appeared, she whined, “I’m tired of home food.”

She requested, “Let’s eat at a restaurant.” Her younger siblings agreed. Hajjiya was angry, “What about the food I cooked?”

Alhaji defended his kids, “Let’s all go then. Even if I die, they should have enough to enjoy life.” Though reluctant, Hajjiya joined them. The outing cost Alhaji ₦30,000.

Harun’s Real Intentions

Harun still couldn’t find the courage to confess his feelings to Zainab. Though he admired her, his past showed he was no saint. Given a chance, Harun would likely take advantage of her.

Kalisa Meets Sahid

Later, a handsome, well-dressed man named Sahid visited Alhaji Idris’ home. After exchanging greetings, he and Kalisa were left alone.

He introduced himself, “I’m Sahid, the manager at Alhaji Tasi’u’s perfume company.”

Though polite, Kalisa was clearly uninterested and asked to leave. Sahid quietly took his leave as well.
