ABOUT THIS BOOK

Description

Suhana’s Choice

Suhana sat in front of her mirror, watching her reflection as Jamal’s words echoed in her mind. He was handsome, charming, and spoke with the smooth confidence of a man used to getting what he wanted. “Suhana,” he had whispered, “don’t hide behind your innocence. You deserve pleasure, you deserve life.”

Her heart had fluttered, but her conscience screamed in protest. She remembered Sultan, the man who trusted her, who loved her without doubt. Yet Jamal’s persistence chipped away at her resolve. He made her feel beautiful, powerful, desired in a way that Sultan’s quiet loyalty never had.

As evening fell, Jamal’s invitation burned in her memory. A party, filled with music, laughter, and people who lived without rules. She told herself she would only go to watch, to prove she could resist temptation. But deep inside, she knew she was standing at a dangerous crossroads.

The World of Night

The nightclub was alive with neon lights and pounding music. Bodies swayed together on the dance floor, laughter and whispers mingling in the smoky air. Suhana stepped in cautiously, her eyes darting from one corner to another. She had never seen such wild freedom—women dressed boldly, men drinking without restraint, couples disappearing into the shadows of back rooms.

Jamal appeared beside her, a glass in his hand and a smile on his lips. “Welcome,” he said smoothly, taking her hand as though she already belonged to him.

She wanted to pull away, but the warmth of his touch sent a confusing shiver through her. He led her to a private table where the music throbbed but the conversations were intimate. “Look around,” Jamal whispered, leaning close. “This is life without chains. Here, no one will judge you.”

Suhana’s eyes widened as she caught sight of familiar faces—politicians, businessmen, even respected scholars—laughing with women who were not their wives. The shock rattled her, but Jamal leaned in again. “You see? Even the mighty fall to desire. Don’t be afraid of yours.”

She sipped the drink he placed before her, telling herself it was just juice, though its warmth spread too quickly through her chest.

The Temptation of Jamal

Jamal knew exactly how to play his game. He spoke of dreams, of a life filled with luxury and freedom, of secret escapes from the suffocating expectations of society. Every word made Suhana feel as though he understood her hidden frustrations.

“Why chain yourself to Sultan’s shadow,” he pressed, “when you can shine in your own light? With me, Suhana, you will be more than a wife—you will be a queen.”

Her heart raced. She remembered Sultan’s simple gifts, his quiet evenings at home, his belief in honesty and faith. And then she looked at Jamal—the way he commanded attention, the fire in his eyes, the promise of a life untamed.

When he leaned closer, his breath warm on her cheek, she closed her eyes. For one dangerous moment, she considered surrendering. But then her mother’s voice flashed in her memory: A woman’s honor, once lost, can never be fully restored.

She pushed back slightly. “Jamal… please.”

For the first time, his confident smile faltered. But instead of anger, he laughed softly, pouring himself another drink. “Don’t worry, Suhana. Desire is patient. So am I.”

The Watchful Eyes

What Suhana didn’t know was that someone had been watching her all along. Lili, a young woman with sharp eyes and a reputation for gossip, had recognized her the moment she stepped into the club. Lili’s mind raced with the possibilities—if the story reached Sultan, if the community whispered about it, Suhana’s name would never be clean again.

Later that night, as Suhana slipped out of the club, shaken but unharmed, Lili was already spreading whispers in the shadows. “Do you know where I saw Suhana? With Jamal. At the club.”

The news traveled fast, carried by eager tongues. By morning, half the neighborhood spoke of it.

Sultan, however, heard nothing yet. He woke as usual, prayed, and left for his day’s work, never imagining that his world was already trembling beneath his feet

Back in her room, Suhana sat on her bed, staring at the floor. She had not given in to Jamal, but she had stepped too close to the edge. The guilt burned her chest.

What if Sultan found out? What if her mother knew where she had gone? Tears filled her eyes as she imagined the disappointment on their faces.

Jamal’s words lingered: “You will be a queen.” But in her heart, she longed for peace, not power. She wanted love without shame, laughter without fear, marriage without secrets.

Yet the path she had chosen that night had already opened a door she could not easily close. Jamal would not stop. The whispers would not fade. And her conscience would not rest until she decided where her loyalty truly belonged.
