ABOUT THIS BOOK
Description
MALIK AND INAYA
He went straight to his own part of the palace with her, completely unconcerned about the people in the kingdom watching him. He knew they were looking, yet he didn’t put her down.
As soon as he entered his wing, he went directly up to the fourth floor with her.
When they entered the parlour, he gently set her down on her feet.
The moment he released her, she quickly tried to walk away.
She hadn’t taken more than one step when he gripped her waist, turned her around to face him and said,
“Where do you think you’re going?”
“Let me go, I want to go take my bath,” she said, pressing her lips tightly together.
He stared at her face for a moment before slowly releasing her without saying anything.
She quickly turned, walking fast down the corridor towards their bedroom.
Only when he saw her disappear into the corridor did he begin to walk calmly behind her, following her into the bedroom.
Immediately he entered, he went straight into the dressing room.
A short while later, he came out holding a small red box. He walked to the edge of the bed and placed it down, then headed towards the bathroom door.
Standing at the door, he knocked lightly and said, “Here, I brought out your clothes. They’re on the bed,”
Then he walked out of the bedroom.
She stayed nearly 45 minutes in the bathroom before coming out, tied in a towel wrapped across her chest.
She walked straight to the bed, reaching for the box he had placed there when she heard his voice greeting her from behind.
Slowly she turned, raised her head, and returned his greeting with a smile.
He walked into the room wearing his white sleepwear, perfumed and fresh.
Standing before her, hands tucked in his pockets, he said, “So it’s now you decided to come out.”
She released a soft smile, stepped close to him, wrapped her arms around his back and laid her head on his chest.
He let out a deep breath and closed his eyes.
She let out a tiny laugh and said, “I missed you too.”
He opened his eyes quickly, leaned down and rested his forehead on her shoulder.
“How do you know I missed you?” he asked.
“Ummm… I felt it,” she whispered with her eyes closed.
He pressed gentle kisses on her shoulder and then her neck.
She giggled lightly, trying to pull away from him.
He quickly wrapped his arms tightly around her waist, holding her firm against him.
“Baby, let me go so I can dress up, I’m getting cold,” she murmured softly.
He whispered into her ear, “Don’t worry, I’m here. I’ll warm you up.”
With that, he tugged the towel strongly and it dropped to the floor.
He carried her effortlessly to the bed, laid her down, removed his top leaving only his shorts, then climbed over her, covering her body with the warmth of his chest.
At this point, I quietly stepped aside and left them to finish.
THE NEXT MORNING (PRISON)
MALIK
Malik sat in Hakim’s cell, on the bed, with his laptop resting on his thighs, turned so Hakim could see the screen.
After almost ten minutes, Hakim pointed quickly and said,
“There she is, that’s her, the day we entered Turkey.”
Malik immediately turned the laptop to himself.
He studied the video of the airport hall crowded with people. Still, he easily spotted Hakim standing beside a young woman, not more than twenty, wearing a blue abaya and a veil.
Malik slowly raised his head and asked,
“Are you sure you stayed two weeks in Turkey?”
Hakim responded quickly, “I’m sure.”
“Is there any possible way for you to identify the person who sent you to do this job?”
“Your Highness, I told you from the beginning—whenever we met him, his face was always covered,” Hakim said, almost in tears.
Malik nodded and stood up.
“Alright, I’ll come back to you later.”
He turned towards the exit.
Just as he reached the door, Hakim said quickly,
“Your Highness, I can recognise his voice!”
Malik slowly turned back. “You’re sure you can identify his voice?”
Hakim nodded confidently.
“I’m sure, your Highness. And there’s something else. I once saw a bracelet on his wrist. It looks exactly like the design on your necklace—and it’s made of double gold. I’ve seen him wearing it twice.”
Malik paused briefly, then said, “Alright,” and left the cell.
He walked out of the prison where his cars and Diya were already waiting.
Once Malik reached the car, Diya opened the door for him.
They both entered, and the driver drove off.
Calmly, Malik said to Diya, “Take us to the Palace.”
Diya nodded and instructed the driver.
At the palace, the courtyard was filled with people—including Rafik and Aymane—all talking loudly.
With commanding presence, Malik entered and greeted them loudly, though only he could hear his own greeting.
The moment they saw him, silence fell.
Everyone stood up respectfully with bowed heads.
He didn’t acknowledge them; he walked straight to his throne-like seat and sat.
Diya remained standing beside him.
After he settled, everyone sat down, watching him closely.
Without delay, Malik opened the laptop and played the video he had shown Hakim.
He turned the screen so everyone in the hall could see, without explaining a word.
Everyone stared silently, watching with intense curiosity.
Then he finally spoke:
“In this video, you will see the young man General Abdallah captured—the one accused of shooting Malik. You will also see a woman with him.”
He shut the laptop afterward.
In confusion, Hussein asked,
“But your Highness, what is the significance of this video?”
Malik waited a moment and replied calmly,
“This video is part of what will prove the truth about that young man.”
Mohammed stood abruptly.
“What truth? Your Highness, General Abdallah himself brought that boy and said he killed Malik. Are you saying you were mistaken?”
General Abdallah said respectfully,
“Please sit and listen to what his Highness has to say.”
Mohammed refused.
“General, forgive me, but I cannot remain silent. That boy killed Malik—what are we waiting for? Let him be executed. Speak, everyone!”
Voices erupted—some calling for further investigation, others supporting Mohammed, saying the boy should be executed immediately.
Malik closed his eyes, listening silently, his face tense.
Then suddenly he opened his eyes and shouted:
“Silence!!”
Everyone flinched and immediately fell quiet.
Malik looked at Diya.
Diya leaned closer as Malik whispered instructions to him.
He nodded and stepped back.
Malik stood and addressed the room:
“You all witnessed the day I ascended this throne. I promised to ensure justice for everyone who comes to me—whether guilty or innocent. The man accused of killing Malik came to me seeking justice for his wife. We cannot sentence him without hearing him, without knowing his reasons. Hakim has told me the truth of what happened and his reason for killing Malik. I promise you this: whoever ordered him to do it—I will find him, and he will face justice equal to what he caused. First, ordering him to kill Malik. Second, abducting his wife. Whoever he is, whether inside or outside this kingdom, his status means nothing to me.”
With that, Malik left the hall, Diya following behind him.
Fear was written clearly on everyone’s faces.
General Abdallah wasn’t lying—whoever was behind the crime would be exposed.
Outside, Malik handed his laptop to Diya.
“Take this to my part. I’m going to see Malikát Inas.”
As Diya turned to leave, Malik asked,
“Diya, how is Nesrine? Is she better?”
Diya smiled. “Don’t worry, it’s just fever. She’s getting better now.”
Malik nodded and walked away.
MALIK AND MALIKAT INAS
Malik went straight to Malikát Inas’s section, knowing she alone could answer his questions.
He entered her parlour after greeting.
She was seated with Rianna, both smiling and chatting.
The moment Malikát Inas saw him, she tightened her face and looked away.
He approached and sat beside Rianna.
“Good morning, Ammie,” he greeted.
“Fine,” she replied curtly without looking at him.
Rianna giggled, touched his shoulder and said,
“Akhie, I think Ammie is angry with you.”
“Really, Ammie?” he asked softly.
She tightened her face even more.
He stood from the sofa, walked to sit on the carpet before her, and began gently massaging her foot.
“I don’t even know what I did, but if I offended you, I’m sorry. You know I don’t like seeing you upset. Please don’t be angry with me, Ammie. I won’t feel okay.”
She exhaled softly.
“Nawfel, I’m just scolding you, not angry.”
He rested his head on her thigh.
“I know. It would take a lot for my Ammie to truly be angry.”
“Still, I’m upset with you. Tell me, when last did you visit me? Even to greet?”
He closed his eyes lazily.
“I’m sorry, Ammie. You know the workload I have now.”
She cut him off gently.
“It’s alright. I know. May Allah guide you with justice the way your father ruled.”
He and Rianna both said “Ameen.”
Then Rianna said,
“Akhie… where is my baby? It’s been two days and I haven’t seen her.”
“Which baby? Wallahi, Ukhtie, I’ve noticed you’ve completely spoiled that girl. She’ll finish me before you rest.”
Rianna burst out laughing, even Malikát Inas joined.
After the laughter, she said,
“Nawfel, tell the truth—is it you who’s disturbing the girl? I heard she even bit you.”
Malik lifted his head instantly, eyes wide.
“How do you know that?”
