The story begins in a busy marketplace where a teenage girl, Nimrah, is harassed by a man named Yasir, who accuses her of owing him money and tries to force her into a car. Nimrah firmly denies knowing him and refuses his advances. The situation escalates until a good Samaritan steps in to defend her, reminding Yasir of the public scene and potential consequences.
 
To clear her name, Nimrah hands over her phone for verification. Yasir calls the number he believes belongs to her and discovers it actually belongs to someone else—his real acquaintance. Embarrassed and apologetic, Yasir realizes he mistook her identity and offers to pay for her shopping in a show of remorse.

Nimrah goes to her friend Meems’ house, where they laugh and share details of the incident. They talk about preparing for university life, fashion, and relationships. Tasleem, another friend, joins them and boasts about how she manipulates wealthy but reckless men into giving her money without engaging in inappropriate behavior. While Meems expresses concern about safety and ethics, Tasleem brushes it off confidently.

Family Tragedy in London
 
In a parallel storyline set in London, a wealthy and noble family is seen enjoying breakfast when they receive a devastating call: Mai Martaba, the royal patriarch in Zaria, has passed away. The call shakes the family deeply, especially Ali, who was very close to his grandfather. They begin preparations to travel back to Nigeria for the funeral.
 
Ali struggles with the sudden loss, reflecting on their recent phone call. His mother tries to console him, reminding him of faith and the inevitability of death. Ali begins packing for the journey, emotionally wrecked but preparing to fulfill his duty to his grandfather’s legacy.
 
Arrival and Mourning in Zaria
 
Back in Zaria, the palace is filled with mourners and dignitaries—governors, traditional leaders, and even the president—paying respects. Ali, overcome with grief and fever, retreats to his guest room. He recalls his grandfather’s wishes for him to return home and take responsibility, including settling down and possi
