ABOUT THIS BOOK

Description

A Mother’s Painful Request

Mamma stared at him intensely, his heart thumping with nothing but fear. He knew it was about one thing—the matter of his marriage to Khairiyya. How would he explain to his mother that he didn’t love Khairiyya as a wife? With what eyes would he tell Mamma that not once, not twice, but several times, he had shared the same bed with Khairiyya?

“Junaid, it’s time we discuss your marriage with Khairiyya. Even in your house she can complete her studies. This way of life you’re living bothers me. You know your condition, Junaid. You should marry and raise legitimate children, not children left on the streets. Please, Junaid, don’t cast your children away into the world.” Mamma’s voice cracked as she spoke, pain laced in her tone. For the first time, he couldn’t look at his mother. For the first time, he felt a wave of shame cover him completely.

Not because Mamma didn’t know his sins, but because she knew more than anyone the flaws he carried. She never judged his misfortunes because she understood—men came in all shades and struggles.

Junaid Dikko was among those men who couldn’t go even a day without a woman. Something in his nature was wired differently. He lifted his weary eyes toward Mamma, his voice trembling with emotion:

“Mamma, please stop worrying yourself. You know your blood pressure condition. It isn’t from me—it’s from Khairiyya’s side. She said not until she completes her studies before the marriage is discussed. Just one more year. Please, Mamma, stop stressing yourself with my flaws. Keep praying for me.”

His voice softened:
“If I ever lose you, I don’t know how I’ll survive this life without you.”

He took her hand, kissed it tenderly, and smiled. That smile only made her love him even more—her boy, her weakness. He stood up, saying, “Mamma, prepare me dinner today. I’ll sleep at home tonight. I don’t want Abba’s lectures; he never sees me as anything more than a boy.” He pouted slightly, leaving the parlor with that confident stride that carried pride and charm everywhere he went.

The Other Side of Junaid

Mamma smiled faintly as he walked out. Outside, Junaid went straight to his Jaguar, shining as though money was painted on its surface. Only the children of the wealthy rode in such luxury. He entered, the gatekeeper opened the gates, and he sped away.

Still, his mother’s words echoed in his head. How could he ever tell her that he could not, would not, marry Khairiyya? Not because he didn’t try, but because even with Khairiyya’s open affection, his eyes and desires remained elsewhere.

He dialed a number—Sarah. Within seconds, she picked up, her sultry voice purring, “Mr. Dikko!”

“Meet me at the guest house, now.”

“But why don’t you come to my school hostel? You know it’s far…”

He cut her off impatiently, “Find a ride. Just come.” He hung up.

Meanwhile, Sarah prepared quickly. Her roommate, Ruky, frowned at her. “Sarah, with that Junaid guy, you really have no dignity. If this was true love, maybe I’d understand. But to him, you’re nothing but a toy. When he’s done with you, he’ll throw you aside.”

Sarah smirked. “At least I’m lucky enough to have Junaid Dikko share a bed with me.” She stormed out, leaving Ruky burning with jealousy.

A Dangerous Addiction

Sarah finally arrived at Junaid’s secret house. She knocked. The gatekeeper opened the small door, scanning her from head to toe with judgment. In his heart he muttered, “May Allah guide this boy Junaid. His ways are beyond limits.” She brushed past him, frowning at his stare.

She rang the doorbell repeatedly until Junaid opened. Bare-chested in just shorts, his eyes scanned her hungrily. Sarah felt her knees weaken, a heat rising inside her. He pulled her into his arms, kissing her neck, hands roaming her body.

Without wasting time, he carried her straight to his master bedroom. She barely had time to undress herself before he claimed her. Junaid wasn’t a man of romance—sex was his drug, his escape, his addiction. He wanted it fiercely, endlessly.

Sarah thought she wanted it too, but soon his intensity became overwhelming. Hours passed, her body sore, yet he was insatiable. Finally, exhausted, he pulled away, dressing sharply in a black suit—he had a meeting to attend.

Still lying weak on the bed, Sarah’s eyes followed him with obsessive longing. He turned briefly, telling her, “I’ll send you some money.”

“Can’t you stay the night with me?” she pleaded.

“I’ll be home tonight. Just finish what you need to do and go,” he said firmly, leaving her with no second glance.

Her phone buzzed with a credit alert—₦200,000. For Junaid, money was nothing. For Sarah, it was everything.

Family Expectations vs Secret Life

Later that evening, Junaid returned home. At the family dining table, his step-siblings and parents gathered. It was tradition to eat dinner together after Maghrib. His sister Assha lit up when she saw him.

“Yaaya Junaid! It’s been a whole week. I missed you.”

He smiled faintly, taking his seat. Assha served him white rice with fish sauce. The room was filled with the sound of cutlery only—no chatter. After dinner, he joined Abba at the mosque for Isha.

Yet deep inside, two worlds tugged at him. One—his mother’s wish to see him marry Khairiyya, settle, and continue the noble Dikko family legacy. The other—a burning addiction to women like Sarah, his secret affairs hidden behind expensive walls.

And somewhere in the middle—Junaid himself, torn between love, lust, and destiny.
